if only they'd get off their "its a kid show" mentality, we, the kids, grew up, and in my opinion, the shows are long past due for a change to suit its core audience, "the kids that grew up".
@@zaberfangvery fair point but I think with many other media showing suits on super heros made of more advanced fabric than the spandex look I think many kids of today are used to the modern look
The show once upon a time did grow up with its audience, until Time Force. Then Wild Force gave mixed messages with its dark subplots but underdeveloped acting and direction, and the show more or less reversed itself in writing tone completely with Ninja Storm (though the acting and direction improved significantly over WF), and was like that for a while until we finally hit a better balance in RPM. After which the show hard reset right down to an almost infantile storytelling and acting direction with Samurai, and reached the apex of that infantility in Ninja Steel and it's obsession with toilet humour. Fortunately stuff has been getting better since then, but Dino Fury is similar in tone and direction to In Space (less campy though), so we'll have to wait and see if the show carries on heading in the right direction in that regard. If Cosmic Fury is similar in tone to Lost Galaxy, we'll know it's on the right track. I don't think it needs to be full adult, a "family audience" level of things is fine. Time Force is probably the best balanced example of this - there's moments you're watching it where you feel like your watching a 6pm action/sci-fi show like Knight Rider or Quantum Leap rather than a kid's show. That's a good balance.
Would be interesting seeing a power ranger for adults. There's storylines we can do that couldn't be done in a kid show. Imagine seeing nudity and sex on power rangers?
Both sets of costumes were great. The second artists “Alien Ranger” suits fit very well with the Sentai’s theme of Ninjas. Also To be for adults does not mean dark. It means more mature.
These how Rangers should look. Power from the Morphin Grid that physically changes the human make-up and armor to a level where they are absurdly powerful. Like, one Ranger, morphed, should have the strength of at least 20-30 men, easily. Able to throw cars, effortlessly. The raw power of the Grid and morphing sequence should show absolute and massive powerr gain. Superhuman level, easily.
I really like the Zeo Rangers suits and the Time Force Rangers suits from the second artist Jay Sullivan "Tokujay". I like that they don't look like spandex, but a thicker more protective material. I would hope another show; or a movie gets made with suits like these.
The scales on the Alien Ranger suits from the second artist is a nice touch, considering they're from a water world. Definitely prefer the second artists designs. The first artist's designs look cool, but they stray from the original designs just a little too much (which happened in the 2017 film, with disastrous marketing results). The second artist's design both keep the essence of the original costumes well intact, modernizing it, while also actually looking practical to make, wear and use.
You damn right Mighty Morphin was the best. Born in 86 here. I was The Red Ranger and my Brother 83 (rip bro😢) always loved Zack the black ranger. Times were so much easier back then lol😏
We have to be honest that power rangers are no longer for kids, and it hasnt been for years now, dare i say 2 generations at least. I don't think today's generation of kids even know who power rangers are or even think they are cool. I think thanks to Marvel and DC, today's generation can handle a mature theme from the power rangers. It may make them popular again. Today's generation just isn't as innocent as we were in those days. I would choose either of those artists, its hard to choose between them, honestly. I love that Carlos kept the concept of the original but made it look more durable and stayed in theme with the look of today's heroes in the movies, but I also love how Tokujay stayed in theme with the rangers of moment. The Zeo theme being ancient, the alien rangers being ninjas and space rangers looking like astronauts blew me away. Hollywood or the TV show really needs to think about hiring both honestly.
The Gold Zeo Ranger suit is by far, my all time favorite design and the redesigns are pretty good. With the exception of the material/fabric of the suit, very little change was needed from the original design. If the live action Voltron Lion Force movie ever sees the light of day, I wonder if we will see something similar to this.
Apparently the suits are made from Zyu Metal, a lightweight alloy material that contains Titanium and when struck becomes harder than diamonds which is the suits spark when hit hard enough.

I agree with a new material for the suits. Problem is with the 2017 movie was that it took to long to get in to the meat and bones of the movie and to especially have them morph

Just a correction: Ninjor wasn't a person wearing a suit, that is how Ninjor looked. It was his appearance. That is not to say that his appearance could be redesigned for a new modern series.
If they just stick to the designs the likes of the movie from 95 they should be fine most love the designs of power rangers we just want the story to be more serious and dark. A perfect example of that is the boom studios power rangers series the designs and everything are the same but story evolved and got better, darker and more mature. ( the sleek ninjor designs looks amazing btw )
My favorite designs of both artists are the mighty morphin designs for both Carlos and Jay. But I still love and appreciate both the main original and the 2017 movie designs. But anyway, maybe someday in the future anyone will use both IG artists designs. But till then, great work.
Those designs were cool and nice bed but I've been watching Power Rangers since 1993 and you're a bit wrong the suits and those series were really good and I like them a lot so hey to each their own man
I LOVED the turbo rangers looks, and in space, ok so I like most of them wasn't too kind on wild force, or any "wild" esk rangers , I am enjoy these current rangers though
@Frankie Sanchez Gonna be interesting what the design for Lightspeed and Wild Force gonna look like. I assume the Wild Force design gonna have like some gold or bronze strap look. I think Lightspeed is gonna have some military type look to them. The artist has like some mystery design when he finishes Wild Force down the line. I don't know if it's related to another power rangers design (like the Disney Era one) or some other franchise, like he just recently did Batman Beyond and his upcoming Green Lanturn. There's people on the artist Instagram wanting him to do Dino Thunder after JDF died to pay tribute.

Toku jay is one of the best in the game been following him for sometime now. I would hope hasbro paying attention and consider to bring him on board for the next movie.
As long as they don't go PC or Woke. I felt dissapointed in Dino Fury. The skirt thing was unnesscary. I think it cool the girls can be cool and strong fighters while still wearing skirts.
I like dattoli's first version of the silver Power Ranger in Space. Also, the mighty murphin. Additionally, Sullivan has a great touch with the in the Power Ranger Alien version light fabric.
this costumes look awesome, but the power rangers cannot look like thoes, not because they look too serious, but because making thoes suits would fall into the fanfiction zone, and would make anyone think that a preatty picture can get you a job with no much years of study in the area of graphic design, also, this fans design are for movies, and the power rangers werent made for movies

I’m not really a fan of the overly detailed Bayformers/ man of steel aesthetic. Far prefer the more super power beat down style. Similar to the second artist
IDK... But... everytime western frachise try to "redesign" super sentai original design into "new" power ranger design and making a movie of it, seems like it's less entertaining for me, yes, me, it's my only opinion. The Power Ranger franchise is entertaining for me now is mainly because of "nostalgic" vibe, i mean... maybe i won't watch the last power ranger movie if 20 years ago i did't watch mighty morphin series... If you guys know about new Super Sentai series, King-Oger, the super sentai series keep making new original concept and this King-Ohger series feels so entertaining, new and fresh, it's like... i watch it because i want to watch it, not i watch it because it's nostalgic. But to be fair, the power ranger comic and all multiverse concept of it is really dope, the story and design of many new power ranger franchise "original character and suit" designs itself is at it's best. And also for all new redesign in this video, it's all really cool design.

They wont think the suits matter that much. What adults want is key characters to get killed. When Gen x seen that it was shocking and gen x wants Millennials to get to experience the same surprise.... even tho we see those 2000s tv and movies when they did...
Better fight sense,choreography use CGI and beef up some of the old story lines change the different types of rangers to adopt the villain it's like 30 different types of rangers

All i have to say is zegmented. You attach any kind of armor you like just make it segmented. It's that simple keep the original designs just segment and plate , chain mail plate mail, scale , scale mail, chain scale. the armor only segment the joints so it's mobile. Or even keep it heavy armor for certain designs or characters specifically. And revamp all the weapons to look future tech (l.e.d strips chrome) or alien tech (liquids and circuits) but also make then function like the originals connecting building bigger weapons of having multiple functions fire and forms. No big deal ez pz. Now go and conceptualize my ideas to life!
