My uncle/godfather got me into the Rangers just after they came out. He recently passed and I inherited all of his zords and rangers. RIP Gary! Love you
God damn I wish I could have been the kid on the block with that. I did have cool Xmen action figures growing up so I can't complain. Can't believe kids today don't have toys half as cool as what we had.
Thanks so much for uploading this! Had a great trip down memory lane seeing all the old zords combine. I remember that each kid back in the 90's would take a zord with them to school and we would combine them in the recess periods :)
Damn, I never had any of the mighty morphin zords but it bring back memories of all the wild force, turbo, etc zords i had man. Back when a kid could be a kid, we had the best toys. Idk what these kids playing with today
Lance Fraizer had the shogun megazord, and my brother had the ninjazords (including the falcon, no not the movie versions), wanted the original, still do, but yeah, lol
Those are very rare. The supply of the original 1st season toy line didnt cover even 5% of the demand. For Season 2 they made a lot more toys, 1000% more supply easily and they still got sold out lol
@@lancefraizer5137 Well, I ended up getting a DX Megazord for my birthday. It was a surprise. Then after discovering about Dragonzord and Titanus, I got them for Christmas. Thankfully I discovered Power Rangers in the best way possible. Completely clueless with no information on it. After seeing the opening titles on the first day of school, I was hooked!
watched this all the time as a kid yearning for these toys. just purchased them now as an adult after years of saving and hunting, thanks for introducing retro sentai toys to me!!!
to me thats the best power ranger toy and i like how the transformation stayed true to the actual original rangers tv series!!! beautiful simple transformation!!!
I'm a grown man. I don't usually watch videos about toys but this is from my childhood and brings such nice memories. Especially Dragonzord. Holy shit, I loved that toy.
the megazords tank mode is wrong here he has two taps on each hip one that the t-rex is lifting more up because if you press the tap the knee joints wil move and it's head is coming over the mastodonts head and the tail of the t Rex is Going all the way in
Can’t believe this video came out 15 years ago. I remember finding it in high school around the time mmpr 2010 toyline hit which got me back into power rangers. Thanks for the years of memories and nostalgia
I love how in the TV show, whenever the form the ultra-megazord, there was a nuclear explosion in the background. Like that combination just blew shit up just by being there. lol. But thank you so much for posting; I really wanted to see all those transformations again.
For a while now, I thought it'd be interesting for the megazord and dragonzord to have another combine mode where you take off the dragonzord's legs and make them armored boots for the megazord, you attach its arms to the arms of the megazord to form arm cannons, have the thighs become waist cannons, have the rest of the dragonzord's body form the chest piece, helmet, and shoulder pads, and have the tail form a railgun.
Coming back to this video for the first time in a LONG LONG while. This was one of the first videos I ever watched on youtube. Thank you so much for inspiring me!
Good video bro. I didn't think somebody could talk about old school toys for 20+ mins, and make it entertaining but you managed it! Thanks for the nostalgia!
Khoa Tran wait, what? Children are sociopaths now? I had a just fine childhood, 2000-2011 was mine. Unfornunately, Bieber showed up closer to the end. I don't think I really care about pop culture. Just gimme todays technology, and the past's everything else, and I'm good.
Talk mode is wrong. the tyranosaurus had two buttons on both legs. you push the buttons and it allows the knees to move up, allowing the tail to connect in and giving the TREX more of a hunched forward position, like on the show. going to Megazord you you push the buttons in and move the knees back.
It would be an interesting death battle to see the Dragonzord go up against Mecha Godzilla. I've been trying to get Wizard and Boomstick from Death Battle to make an episode of that, but they haven't yet.
late but there's a (admittedly parody) video called Deadliest Character between AVGN and Linkara. Hosted by Doctor Insano. It's great :D I bring this up cause it has Dragonzord vs Mechagodzilla.
I've always liked how well these guys combine- Out of five robots, only the feet are clearly different machines. Other Megazords just haven't had that.
I've always liked how well the Megazord guys combine- Out of five robots, only the feet are clearly different machines. (Until all the other zords hook onto the megazord of course) Other Megazords just haven't had that.
I'm 20 now but I feel like a little boy again, and I still want these. I remember watching these all the time and I still remember what he says all these years later. 2024 gang, so much has happened since then, I wish things were back to simpler days. I feel like these toy reviews really helped build what my interests ended up being.
I've got these still. I was among the lucky ones to discover this series by chance. It was 1994. The internet was non-existent. And I only discovered this series by looking at the local TV Guide. Yet all of these led to me watching it for the first time. The instant I saw the opening titles after school, I was instantly in love with this series. I thought, this is a live action Voltron!
OG Megazord > Legacy Megazord One thing that always bugs me is that a lot of auctions and sales have the Triceratops and Saber-toothed Tiger Zords switched in Megazord mode. Never understood why.
Eh, the Zord Builder ports on Megazord kind of ruin things for me, especially on the Tyranno's knees. And the boots/lower legs just feel way too skinny. I will admit that Dragonzord and Tigerzord look great in animal modes, but they look kind of misshapen in the Megazord modes. I am kind of dreading Legacy Thunder Megazord. With how the Tigerzord combines with the Dino parts, it makes me fear they are going to make you take the Red Dragon Thunderzord's legs off to combine.
It might have been mentioned already but the Tyrannosaurus has those black buttons on the sides of its thighs that you can use to bend the knees upward so that the Tyrannosaurus leans forward in tank mode like in the show, because it didnt sit up straight in the show. Plus, I found that bending the leg like that in T rex mode does make it stand upright better without having to detach the tail, if you do want it to stand tall.
I remember in first grade me watching 2 other kids playing with those Megazords. Also I'm here because Twitch is streaming the entire series of Power Rangers.
I never knew the Dragonzord legs folded up. I watched this video and was blown away! Then I tried it with my Dragonzord that I still have from when I was a kid and lo-and-behold it worked! My 3-year olf daughter is playing with my Dragon Zord and the white ranger's tiger zord thing. She's also watching Season 1 of MMPR on Netflix. I love sharing this with her. Thank you for sharing this insight with me.
A kid I knew back in school had the trex zord at school and let me play with it till lunchtime was over and I absolutely loved the figure. After that I never got to play with the figure again, till they came out with the cheaper ones a year back or so for like 60 for all and I love that figure cuz it's the only one I have of the mmpr megazord. Really wish they did the dragon zord and titanus
JTMitch you still a legend bro you were one of my main channels back in 2007 and 2008 when transformers films came out thanks bro I collect cause of yall
