Notes about the bosses... Mirror Maniac was from the episode "Beauty and the Beast", which was not only a Kim episode, but the last episode before Tommy became the White Ranger. Cannontop came from the episode "Scavenger Hunt". While Aisha is battling the monster in this video, it's actually from Billy's cousin's toy cannon. Skelerena comes from the episode "Mirror of Regret". While Billy is battling the monster in this video, it comes from an Adam-based episode. Magnet Brain comes from the episode "Opposites Attract", which was the last episode to have new footage of Austin St. John, Thuy Trang, and Walter Jones before their walkout and subsequent dismissal. Adam fights the monster here, even though he wasn't introduced yet when the Rangers first fought him, plus the monster was based on Billy's Polarizer device. Silver Horns comes from "The Power Transfer Part II", which was the first monster fought by Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. Main Frame was a game-exclusive monster. Ivan Ooze is only thing from the movie to be in the game.
i believe that was the original plan when this game was being made, was in development, the game was originally intended to be based on the second season of MMPR, given the appearance of Zedds putties and his monsters, but Ivan Ooze was a last minute addition into the game, just for marketing reasons, to improve the games market value with the movie coming out soon around the time it was released, no doubt Lord Zedd was intended to be the final boss in the game, since the way you battle and fight Ivan Ooze in the game, is much different, not the way that it happend in the movie.
@@initiatorhater0688 Another thing to support that theory: The Rangers teleport away after finishing the level. Look at Tommy's teleportation streak: it's not white, it's green.
I can't help but start crying listening to the soundtrack and seeing the ingame action. I wanna go back in time. Life was really a lot less complicated. So glad I can revive these memories coming back to RU-vid. Thank you very much for this video, it really made my day!
When you finish this game you get a code. Using that code will give you a demo of Fighting Edition, which is on the cartridge. So technically, the game has a hidden Megazord fight.
Oh, good old times. I used to play with my sisters back when we still have the SNES, messing up so badly during the first few times(even on Normal difficulty! XD ). Of course, the only person who actually finished this game in both difficulties is the only man in my family... Me(in fact, I did it without using any credits at all. Took a few tries, though). And then my cousins as well whenever they come over, but not without losing almost all of the available credits!
So why give the tag line the movie none of these boss characters was never in the movie other than ivan ooze it feels just like a sequel to the original game and the tv series and plus an amazing soundtrack
Man, i remembered that sometimes after you beat the magnet or the surfboard boss, the boss just walks until he's out of the screen. And then you get stuck without him exploding that you have to reset the console. Does this happen to any of you guys?
Dude, that title's not right! The game is actually called: Mighty Morphin Power Ranger tm The Movie Featuring Ivan Ooze tm. Man, what do I pay you for!? :D
This game features the monsters that were used in the second season of MMPR which are from Dairanger. No idea why they had Ivan Ooze in it. Would have made more sense to have Lord Zedd be the final boss. That's why I prefer the Genesis movie game over this one.

I'm not into Power Rangers (unless "absolutely loving the theme song and nothing else" counts), but I came here because *why the heck does that guy in the thumbnail have a magnet for a head?*
Despite the fact that I'm a big fan of the original mmpr series, I'm really disappointed of how they didn't use king sphinx here or in the genises version , he's one of the best looking villains besides goldar and Lord zedd.
King Sphinx wasn't used because the SNES version was originally based on the second season, which is why most of the bosses are based on Lord Zedd's monsters. Ivan Ooze's inclusion as the final boss was a last minute addition and he replaced Lord Zedd, For the Genesis version, that was straight up based on the movie with a few flashback levels based on the second season. So regardless, King Sphinx was never going to be in either of these games, despite being one of the better monsters in the series.
When you finish this game you get a code. Using that code will give you a demo of Fighting Edition, which is on the cartridge. So technically, the game has a hidden Megazord battle.
The makers of this game didn't have any knowledge about the movie, did they? I would imagine the same would be true of the Genesis game, except that version had oozemen and the Ectomorphicons, meaning it had more to do with the movie. Also, the Rangers just beat up Bulk and Skull! That's going a bit far, isn't it?
HereticVII That's a move you can use when your bar is flashing after you're transformed, but the normal attack itself turn into the weapon, instead of the punch.
Aaron Ladner They weren’t in the movie, unfortunately. They left during the second season, a year before this movie was released, which was just before the third season.
