POWER SEAT NOT WORKING IN NISSAN ALTIMA..SEAT NOT MOVING

2009 Nissan Altima power seat got stuck reclined all the way back.. most people said to hit the seat motor to see if it’ll bring it back to life . In this case and is important for this this to be your issue is the seat works in every way besides one button or two . Power is shared through out the whole power seat control module so if one is working MOST OF THE TIME NOT ALL THE TIME ... it’s just the buttons are stuck, gunked up , contacts are to far out of spec . Power way to fix this is to replace the module but being that i couldn’t even drive the car due to seat placement i needed to temporarily move it !!!!. Mine ended up having a broken plastic tabs that controls the switches functions ... maybe yours is just dirty etc etc if you’re reallly fancy you could even plastic weld a new little plastic and get it to work who knows just trying to save you guys some money !!!

Thank you so much for this!! It's a little complex but not too hard at all. I just got mine off my Hyundai Santa Fe and I'm thinking about calling into work tonight because I was sitting with my knees up almost in the fetal position 🤣. No but really it's embarrassing. Thank you so much for the video! You saved me over $250! I have a 2011 Nissan Altima 3.5 SR. The driver’s seat power switch would not raise the backrest, but it’s other functions were operable. It would only go backward. I went to my local mechanic and he wanted to charge me $150 just to remove the seat and then a separate amount for diagnostic and repair. It sounded absurd. So being mechanically inclined, I purchased the switch for my car from Amazon for $28 (Nissan selling it for $164). I watched your video and followed your directions. Now my seat is repaired for only $28!!! This is so amazing! Thank you sooo much and I wish you much success! ☮️❤

Thank you very much brother. If anybody is having trouble with their seat not reclining properly and the motor is looking okay, you need to watch this video thoroughly. Doesn’t matter if the seat is not moving forward, backward, up or down. Its all you need.

Ive been sitting in the most upright position for about 3 to 5 years lmao, ive seen a lot of videos of doing it manually. none worked for me. I have a 2012 impala ltz. Different car but same mechanism. I just came inside from fucken fixing it!! holy shit im ecstatic lmao now im gonna lean so far back you wont be able to see me driving past lmao. Thank you. Thank you I have a 2010 Nissan Altima it was reclining backwards but not forward I took it apart like you show in your video and it was one of the tabs on the circuit board I used a screwdriver and I pressed it and in moved up and it actually seemed to fix the whole problem put it back together with the cover and now it's working Backward And forward thank you so much

I JUST had this happen to my 2011 Altima 2.5 S. I knew it wasn't the motor because when the switch works the motor works and sounds fine. I also wasn't sure if the seat needs removed from the car to replace the switch. Thanks for clarifying that.

I had the similar situation in Nissan Altima 3.5 SL, all I did was use contact cleaner after taking off the front buttons while the while assembly was sitting inside. It worked like a charm. Now I am having the same issue in my Nissan 370z and its not as easy as to access the contacts as in Altima. Wish me luck !!
