Best chat ive hewrd so far on the ten hag contract situation. Have to agree kieran he was lucky to keep his job after the liverpool defeat, but managers and players need that slice of luck. Lets see how we finish this transfer window first. Thanks fellas 👍🏾
@PaulMcLennan-hx3tj yes it was poor but I remember Sir Alex struggling in his first three or four seasons without a trophy 🏆 we have to give him another season at least
Top show fellas. The top earners since Eric became manager were Ronaldo, De Gea, Sancho, Casemiro, Varane and Rashford, I'm sure it's just a coincidence Eric has had created a scenario that could lead to all of them leaving for one reason or another.
Great show as always lads , getting ruud in will defo help I think the club have to give eth a contract extension and let him show us as he's said he has a fully fit squard he will win things so then at least we all no wats going on love United ❤hate glaziers
The problem is the players, having Rashford be the biggest earner over Bruno is ridiculous, having injury prone players in the backline is a crutch, the change needs to start with the squad
Who cares move on from last season Erik will change even more than in the last 2 years. Rashford will come right if we can beat the best once we can carry on with the future.
Another excellent show. Great content and your comments are spot on. With regards to Ruud, his coaching background has been very successful. I think Ruud is the one who can impress upon players that attitude is just as important as aptitude.
This is some of the most deluded BS I’ve ever read. He was sounding like a defeatist loser last season. Even for next season, he’s said the ambition is fighting for top 4. Ferguson would never say that
Don't think Erik wants power as the media say...he worked under a proper structure at Ajax and I think that's what he wants at United...best fan chanel on the tube by the way lads
Contract won't be ready to sign until we'll into the season, maybe not until Christmas. If ETH starts the season the same as he has the last two then he will be gone after this season, for no cost.
I love Ruud and he is meant to have done a good job at PSV although Gary Neville has said he wanted to fight him and Ronaldo had an issue with him.... Hopefully they can use him the right way.
You have to go right back to his first days, weeks and months…the crap that was thrown at the lad! Everyone was amazed and delighted with how he signed off season 22/23. 23/24 season, very hard to support him at times ( you detail these Tony), but there was still crap around the club. Frankly, whatever the crap this season, get it together Eric, and give us more realistic and understandable analysis if we have a bad game!
Hi Chaps. So looking forward to Van Nistlerooy joining as an assistant coach. I am sure he will sort the team out-both in the dressing room & on the field Can't wait for ETH's contract to be signed & sealed - I don't think it's anyone's business what Inneos or ETH want or don't want; it just needs to be sorted soon. We have to be patient. Ashworth not bring around is a disappointment. Looking forward to MU getting back to a great team again. Thx for an interesting podcast. ( I apologise but removed the word I had not seen...ok)🙃😉
I'd like RVN for both reasons. He's an ex player, he was a world class striker, he has been a manager at PSV and done well and he walked away from the job for his own reasons which showed he isn't a sheep. And he's dutch which he has that instant connection with Ten Hag. It's came out the blue so not sure if Ten Hag will feel as though Ineos are putting in a backup plan for if results don't go well and they suddenly get rid of Ten Hag. I hope it's a Ten Hag decision rather than an Ineos one
Sir Jim is appeasingvthe the fans and keeping the Glazers firmly in place. Biggest club in Britain and they're scurrying around Europe after 2nd rate players if we are to believe the players we are linked with. Scrimp on players and save some dosh for Joel and Co.
United need to get Ten Hag some of the best coaches to help him out. The ones he has had to use barring about 3/4 coaches, have been here a long time and failed many managers. They were picked up from relegated clubs because they were cheap. If United want to be the best, we need elite coaches all around the manager. Working side by side to achieve the highest standards.
We also have to question the temperament of Nistelrooy. Don't forget, Fergie wanted him gone because of descent. If he starts with some of the old guard at United, it will end in tears.
History tells us that the players have done managers in for 11 years now. It is the ignorance of the suits, fans and pundits to claim ETH should get the sack at any moment. The evidence is incontrovertible. Add a completely neglected and sophomoric ran club, the managers have been the least of our issues, but a convenient scapegoat.
Nistelrooy was one of the most selfish players I had the pleasure to watch. Frustrating player but funny how time makes us see these things in Rose Tinted Glasses. Maybe he could excel in his coaching role. Bit of a gamble for me with his little experience. Maybe taking the Burnley role makes better sense.
Isn't Rvn the same guy who slated Rooney and Ronaldo and got kicked out by Fergie? He was here for 5 years scored a lot of goals, won 1 league title in his first season... if he's still as arrogant as he was it will never work. If u lot r so desperate for a former player with the personal & management credentials deserved by Manchester United you look no further than Ander Herrera or Diego Forlan.
There are lots of consistent scorers of goals that don't seem to play in consistently successful teams: RVN, Shearer, Lineker, Kane, Fowler, Aubamayang to name a few. Fascinates me this: is it self over team? I always thought Forlan was a great player. He deserved a much better outcome in his time at Old Trafford. That's life I suppose.
Why reward failure he spent 400 million+- on new players Ten is a lucky guy. He should leave recruitment to other people and needs guidance on the way his team plays.
TalkSPITE were at it again this morning. In spite of being over in Germany to cover the Euro, they managed to dig up a Dutch football journalist who, to all intents and purposes just happened to be an absolute ETH hater.
I've yet to see a solitary pundit notice that this may be more 'jobs for the boys', the sons of a glazer tried and true method. Remind me...who still owns the club?
TenHag was a gonner...done and dusted. In the sorry way things had gone throughout the season as a whole, the FA cup win was an unexpected and freak result, whether deserved or not! TenHag was clearly in line to be moved out, even with that win. Obviously for the axe to drop and boot him there had to be a viable choice of contenders capable enough to take his place....and as hard as Inios tried there clearly weren't any that would give anyone the confidence that we would improve. Soooo, as embarrassing as it was for all concerned, back to TenHag they went....and WE can only hope for the best, with a few new faces Hopefully!
If I were INEOS I’d put in a clause to fire him if we miss out on Europe without any compensation. If not, if you fail to plan you plan to fail. ETH is subpar what we need I don’t want to hear anyone complain next season when we finish 10th with another subpar excuse from this manager.
Jesus ..Kieron …remember the fucking injuries? Was Ten Hag playing against Liverpool??? No ….the players are luck that they weren’t sacked. Bloody hell , last thing we need is you turning on Ten Hag …with friends like you …..you know old adage.
I'm with Kieron, love the romantic return appointment but only if it's in total agreement and with the enthusiasm of Erik, not just a suits decision. Keep in mind, there were talks of Ineos wanting to replace MVDG Erik's long-term righthand man. Let's not forget, Clough wasn't the same without Taylor.
Great chat today chaps, love some comments as well ! Def say it looks like Ten Hag making demands and is he actually getting backing ?? Eric will tap into a pool he is comfortable with ( Dutch football ) being a United legend would help any bond with the fans
Good to see Ralph rangnick doing so well ....English media totally clueless.. everything Ralph said was spot on the players the culture at utd was rotten ..utd should forget about ashworth ger on the phone to the professor rangnick .
Great stuff lads,a lot of patience needed as this is a huge job to overhall the club from top to bottom, give ineos time and ten hag a few transfer windows
You just end up 8th if you have to make do with injured defenders. The replacements were already there for Ten Hag, but they are simply not good enough! How can you finish in the top 4 with a weak defense in the Premier League, the best league in the world, that is simply not possible!
RVN just listen to the man talk he knows what he’s talking about a great striker and works well with the young lads hope he comes now and it’s not just all media rubbish as normal good vid lads
The good thing with bringing in Nistelrooy, Van De Gag/McClaren/Ten Hag are all experts in the defensive side to coaching. We now have an expert in the attacking side to coaching. He can bring different ideas to Ten Hag than the other 2 can. He now has ex defenders and a striker and Ten Hag was a midfielder. So now he has the balance in his head coaches.
The jury’s still out in terms of TH being good enough for the job - he deserves a stay of execution due to the FA Cup Final success…we all need a reality check because last season was poor in the league and a disaster in the CL
Bringing Rudy is like having your wife and your mistress living under the same roof. INEOS know this is going to be a poor transfer window and a poor season therefore the decision to keep Ten Hag. He's a manager to burn. All the financial cuts done this year will only reflect in next year's transfer window because it's mostly salary savings. Rudy is the next manager already pre-appointed. ETH is a dead man walking since February.
Might not be so daft. If he comes in and ETH fails, will they sack them both, or would RVN step in a boss and then perhaps get the gig. Not completely unlikely as it will save money. Time will tell. I hope they both smash the shit out of it.
@richyclubsport5155 Mark my words: This transfer window will be crap, squad will be weaker with the loss of Varane. By January you'll be writing off this season. They kept Eric because it was too expensive to release and there was no great options available. They know this is going to be a tough season therefore it's better to burn Eric than their first real appointment. Can take my words to the bank and cash in by January 2025
Transfers under ETH: The club can't afford any more mistakes. Even Martinez is injury prone & I worry JR's proposed approach may be too rigid. Get Braithwaite in.
