It has been 12 years since the unstoppable Naoya Inoue embarked on his soul-snatching campaign in the Napoleon-sized weight classes. With a dynamic blend of crisp technique and cataclysmic power, the modern-day samurai has conquered four divisions by the age of 30, setting a record for knockouts in title fights. Today, we delve into the ruthless aggression of this new-school prodigy that earned him the nickname Monster.

One of the most underrated boxers out there. At first I thought it was Isaac cruz but he's now getting recognized. Inoue deserves more attention and respect

The only person more famous than Inoue in Japan is Shohei Ohtani. Both are goated world wide. And he hardly cares about western recognition. Inoue: “To the comment that I should come to the US and compete: The home of the lightweight division is now here in Japan. If you want to see fights, come to Japan. If there is something in the U.S. that is better than the Japanese market, I will gladly go. It is worth it here in Japan.”

Nayoa Inoue is probably the best Boxer I've ever seen footage of. It's not just cause he has all the skills. It's because he can Use them in ways we almost never get to see. His fight IQ is something I've never seen before. Something out of a movie. Yet he's making these decisions in the moment, in the fire, under pressure, in big fights against belt holding opponents. I truly think Inoue is a Rare talent that we might only see once every few generations (if that) That's just a broad expression. I'm just glad we get to witness this guy perform at this level that he has been. Impressive is an understatement. I mostly watch and follow MMA but Nayoa Inoue is someone I always have to watch compete. This is a great video. Thank you for the great content

Yeah, I never understand promoters and boxing companies that keep prohibiting older footage they could no longer sell (for lump sum's... such as initial or secondary PPV fights of major athletes, during and for a brief set of weeks or so after the fights; but once a few weeks or months have gone by, NOBODY is sitting around salivating for the release of any event, no matter how big)... They don't seem to understand you MUST promote your sport, to as many people as possible, in as many different ways as possible, because audiences have endless sports & entertainment to choose from; if you keep restricting your material, why would large people/audiences sit around until you do release them, 5, or 30 years later, when, again, they could easily develop tastes for other sports and entertainment?
@benmcreynolds8581

I agree. They need to see how beneficial this stuff can be when done well. RU-vid needs to improve their system. Their copyright system. How they convey & implement stuff (give creators the ability to remove segments of their videos without YT fully taking it down over :20 seconds of some stupid footage that's usually covered by fair use yet they remove entire projects over nonsense!) It shouldn't be like this. If YT could support informative content, even if it covers difficult topics. I feel like YT would have zero competition. Fair use should cover quality made, informative, narrated highly custom edited content. That literally what fair use covers. Yet YT acts like it can Fully take down a 1hr 30min documentary due to a 10 second clip!? YT needs to realize they would be NOTHING without creators like you making quality content like this.. Yet they decide they want to run things like they expect everything to be kids content, or like it's okay their copyright system is outta control to the point it's not following fair use. I don't understand how RU-vid doesn't see the huge fan base around content for grown ups? If they supported things a bit better, they would have so much more success. Hopefully they wake up to this someday. They act like sponsors wouldn't support RU-vid if RU-vid allowed quality content covering difficult topics? They need to support content like this. It's fully covered under fair use yet copyright claims get abused like crazy as well as demonetized content even tho RU-vid still runs ads on those videos so it's just RU-vid taking all the $ and acting like they can't support the creators who are the sole reason why their platform has value and popularity in the first place! If RU-vid was smart and supported quality content for adults and not just children, they could genuinely be an unstoppable platform. That no other platform would even come close to competing with them. Yet they stand their ground. Their very uptight ridiculous ground lol

Same, but since the 90s - though I boxed for years in Tim/Kosta Tsyu's hometown of Newcastle - home to a similar legacy story. I was dubious there and got proven wrong. (His last fight, Tim, DOES have an asterisk, as Terry Atlas rightly mentions. No one can win when blood is blinding you, so obviously, just 15 seconds into every single round. it speaks to his toughness that he survived on his feet and walked out..) My query with Nico is, only if anyone decent and very sharp has put a real test to his defence? That is fine, given Nico's influences and having had great training from a young age. It just seemed lost to me in these clips. I do find legacy stories romantic but data-wise unconvincing, particularly in boxing, where rich athlete will typically encourage their kids to use their talented physiques and obsessive drive to select a sport that doesn't require direct hits to the head before you get really good. There is a reason this is a niche sport these days. I personally can attest that being punched in the head several times a week is not for everyone.. Ali was a natural heavyweight, perfect deceptive size until, say, you watch that Rumble in the Jungle against Foreman, as we all have 20,000 times!. I mean, Nico and Ali have a different natural style plus different weights, and they are not physically similar, and I am not talking about colour. I taught my kid some basic boxing. Just three punch combinations. Being snappy, tried to teach him some balance. I mean, he is six, so balance is a bit of subtle art for a kid. That is only because my kid is physically identical to me as a kid. Anyway, so I watched him partake in a Tea Kwon Do test, and the Master had to give him a belt - he had like six lessons. The advantages against his peers who were bigger and taller were evident if you think of 'natural talent'. There is some of that, but. Tennis, basketball, golf, and soccer/football all demonstrate over and over that talent is an entry ticket. However, training obsessively from a young age delivers unconquerable advantages - assuming not overtraining,etc.

I know highlights pick out the best clips , but I think this guy is one of the very best at picking punches , he barely wastes a punch , they land with precision , what's frightening is his speed of thought , if a couple of shots are blocked he immediately targets the body , all done in a blink of an eye , ive seen even the greatest boxers become head hunters even if they are throwing wildly or punches are blocked. It shows that technique and speed and precision can beat power , and at 31 still with the speed and accuracy I bet he hasn't been in many wars , meaning his career gets longevity. It's a shame the smaller weights aren't given the big stage very often , you usually find them on the card 3 fights before the main fights, personally I enjoy the speed rather than just brutal ko power , especially when this guy has a bit of power as well at the weight.

My first time watching him live thanks to this video alerting me to him, what a fighter, I think he started a bit slow and Nery got a good knock down, but it woke him up and that was that , he is one of the best boxers I've seen. I know why I've missed his career, he often fights on a Tuesday and western boxing press don't promote him so he has gone under the radar. One of the best pound for pound boxers surely.

@BVW996

In the second round of the Donaire fight, Naoya Inoue suffered a broken nose and orbital bone from Nonito Donaire's left hook. Despite excruciating pain and double vision, he fought on unfazed until the 12th round. Remarkably, Donaire refrained from targeting the injured right eye. Initially, there seemed to be a speed discrepancy, and I wondered if Inoue would be outpaced, but Donaire swiftly unleashed a left hook like a Japanese sword, shattering Inoue's face. It was an incredible match.

@@sirmuffincat6630 @BVW996 Yeah i will 100% rewatch this fight a couple of times. After round 2 continueing with the broken orbital bone and with doublevision were nutz. I think after the liver shot in the beginning of round 11. Donaire never could fully recover from this. But he takes it very good many others were Ko after this. Amazing. Stuff of legends. Very glad to find this :)

Very nice highlight and hype video! Some very good lines too. Naoya is my #1 favorite all time boxer. Just a beauty to behold, and I think a masterful technician, with gifted power, who clearly works extremely hard in his training, and disciplined living. Donaire 1, and Tapales are the two most respectable opponents, by my regard, that Inoue has faced. I am excited to see him KO Nery! I am thinking it will be a faster knockout than we've seen from Naoya for awhile. Perhaps by round 4-5. Naoya Inoue #1 P4P boxer of all time! I've never seen a boxer with such a beautiful form, and dangerous style.

Naoya INOUE does not simply rely on conventional boxing techniques. He has mastered techniques from traditional Japanese martial arts through innate talent. It is a refined mind-body technique that maximizes his own offensive capabilities while minimizing the opponent's defensive abilities.

Naoya Inoue's father was an amateur boxer.When Naoya told his father, ``I want to do boxing, too,'' his father asked, ``If I'm going to do it, I won't let you quit midway.Are you ready for that?''Naoya answered "Yes" with strong will. At this time, a monster in the boxing world was born. His father raised Naoya with his own training menu and also cooked their meals. When Naoya reached a certain level, his father was conflicted.The father was conflicted and decided that he should entrust his sons to a well-known trainer rather than himself, who was an amateur boxer. When his father told Naoya about this, Naoya replied, ``No, there's no point in doing it unless I'm with my father.'' At that moment, the father decided that he would make his son the best boxer he could be. A father has always dedicated his life to his sons.Inoue's father entrusted his sons with the dreams he was unable to fulfill, and felt a sense of responsibility for the burden he had placed on them, so he dedicated his life to them. The monsters of the boxing world were created and raised by amateur boxers who never achieved their dreams. I truly respect Inoue's father.
