We are relocating the Reservior in the engine bay for a few reasons.
1.To move it away from the turbo so it doesn't heat soak as well as makes the space near the exhaust side so its easier to work with.
2. In the future we plan to cover up the exposed fender well, so moving this will allow us to use a flat sheet to cover the area.
3. The old mounting hardware and reservoir was an eye sore and was leaking.
We purchased an aluminum reservoir off Ebay for about $30. Bonus point that the cap matches our valve cover.
Install is pretty straight forward.
You need the following:
-10an or 5/8 oil grade hose( this is important so the hose doesnt swell up and leak)
Worm clamps
Reservoir
O-ring to replace the one on the Pump inlet. (Optional but Recommend)
ATF of your choice
Tools Used:
10mm Wrench
Flat Head Screwdriver
Angle Grinder (or something to cut the hose to length)
T27 Torx Bit (only needed if you are flipping the pump inlet like we did)
