This video provides an intuitive explanation of power system inertia. How inertia stabilizes the dynamic power system. Understanding this concept can lead to clarity in droop characteristics and droop control.
What a great explanation. When I was studying Transient Analysis in Power Grids the concept of grid inertia really answered lots of questions and helped me understand the whole power grid much better. This video should be shown in universities across the globe. I sent you a request on LinkedIn.
You are right. This concept is important for understanding a lot of concepts in the power system, for example, droop, stability, etc. When I felt that this concept is so important, I thought I should try to explain it, glad to know that the concept is delivered in a way I was expecting.
Hii rone....it is generally not recommended due to load sharing issues. I am thinking about posting one video on isochronous generators soon. Till then you can check out this link www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-isochronous-and-droop-characteristics-governer
I guess not. Both controllers will "fight" to keep the frequency and your system will become unstable. The Generator with the biggest Power rating will normally set the frequency and the others will follow in Droop Mode. Am I right @A Serious Circuit ?
