Power Your PC On With A Screwdriver
PC wont turn on? quickly check whether your power button is broken by bypassing the power switch on the case by using a screwdriver to jump two pin on the front panel connector on motherboard, the pin is Power SW which stands for power switch. Use this troubleshooting tip to test whether the pc powers on. I will show you step by step on how to jump start pc from motherboard.

Well it’s Dec22 and my 9 year old wasted a glass of milk on his desktop when all his Christmas gifts were for the pc. I cleaned all the components and still no life when I turn the power on. I would have never considered the issue to be the jumper for the switch itself but by using this tip I narrowed down the last issue to a blocked jumper cable. This vide literally saved my family’s Christmas.

nope it would be best to check immediately with your psu. it may cause to fail your pc parts later on

@@losdetrevino2112 replaced the power supply in my case it burned out and nothing else failed which is why it wouldn’t even power on by jumping the pins so maybe that would be what you need to do and hope and nothing in your computer is affected

Bro i need help ! My pc works , sometimes. In the morning i can turn it on. But if a shutdown it it wont turn on. When i press the power button it makes the click sound but wont turn on. For it to turn on again i have to wait about 5 hours. If i try to turn it on before it , it will reset ill have to wait again ! My ups works, but when power goes out the pc turn of immediately. Im ssure the ups works. If i go somewhere i have to keep it on. Sometimes the automatic windows repair things comes when i turn it on. And it gets frozen there, there is nothing i can do . Can you tell me where the problem may be happening ? pls help ! 😢 help pls 🙏

Yo I had a similar problem and I fixed it, it was something to do with the cmos battery. Try taking that out and then powering on your pc. It will have to go back in after of course. Apparently that can prevent the pc from powering on. I don't know if that will help you.

Most people who dare to open there computer will own a multimeter. Measuring the leads to the switch at the removed connector is more save than poking around at pins on the motherboard. One unwanted short there can damage your computer badly.

Update. Never mind I fixed it. Just took the cmos battery out because apparently that can stop the pc from booting. Haven't tried yet putting it back in but I'm sure it'll be fine. Still I guess it's possible I might need a new cmos battery at most if it doesn't which isn't the worst case scenario. Had the pc over 5 years it'd be nice to get another 5 🤣 👍 I had a split second power cut no trip and the only thing that wont turn back on is my pc. Ive tried this and different plugs and sockets and also gave it a good clean but nothing yet. No prior signs of a bad psu or anything. Ive had this once before and it randomly started working again if i rembr correctly. Hopefully nothing too serious because i just spend 2 days modding fallout new vegas. Typical. 😢

Can you give a solution permanent let's say the power button is faulty and you should close the site panel how you should turn on the computer after that cannot open the site panel every time to just turn on your computer yes some other words do you have button but still you have to open the site panel then

It's just two wires to power on and you can get a custom button somewhere to attach to those wires.
