How to create repeating table in PowerApps with complex fields like dropdown, lookups, date field, people & group. How to use patch function and collections to save data in SharePoint List.
What if someone hits the other save button to create a new row, they both do the same thing but it will end up creating a new row and not patching the most recent row and now it will not be in the collection, correct? What about the last element, how is user supposed to know they have to click that at the end--from the save icon alone?
Thanks for this informative video. I have noticed that when you click on the Save icon to patch the record into the local collection the 'Person' Combo box selection is blank. To fix this, you will have to define in the DefaultSelectedItems attribute of the combo box the following: [ThisItem.Manager].Value
This is an excellent video. I had a little trouble with getting the syntax correct. Also had my Manager field as single line of text in SP rather than Person or Group. But once I fixed that and refreshed the List (Which I think is important to note, that if you make changes to SP List, don't forget to refresh the List in Power Apps) Everything is working great. Thank You again.
Nice video. I noticed the complex fields were not added to the collect part of the function. Is that the procedure? I have like five complex fields and I want to know if I shouldn't add it
Hello, greetings, I have the same problem, but with search fields in SharePoint. Everything works fine for me in the repeating list, but I can't get it to recognize the object to write in SP. You could add to this example some with related search fields. Thanks in advance.
