As far as the P2Bus is concerned you can just keep adding devices to it.... It can support upto 200 on the same bus...You would need lots of Y-leads in that case....😀

Very well briefed and spoken, these new PB systems make my JR 12X look so antiquated. Any thoughts on similar series using other radios such as Spektrum?
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot Месяц назад
JR12X was a great radio for its time - I struggled to find a radio to replace mine years ago. Ended up with a Futaba 18SZ which feelt similar but now flying with my PowerBox Core. The Core feels very close to the 12X's ergonomics. I was looking at doing a series for Spektrum and Futaba however I don't have the latest hardware readily available so that makes it difficult.
@PeterOZ61
@PeterOZ61 Месяц назад
@@CVHeliPilot 12X still is a wonderful bit of kit which is why I am reluctant to upgrade, as I am getting into larger models the need for telemetry comes into play, especially with large radials. I have the iisi Cockpit which works well but is cumbersome as it is standalone system and not cheap. I have considered upgrading radio and was thinking iX20 SE simply because all my RXrs are DSMX and can be used with it plus programming is similar in many ways to the 12X. Programming does not worry me that much as we learnt micro (HEX) and Assembler programming when I was in the RAAF many moons ago. I do like the look and features of the PB Core though costs, especially to replace all the Rxrs and then to program each model in my fleet is a big consideration. Toy planes will be fun they said!! Just as well I am single these days.
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot Месяц назад
@@PeterOZ61 Yeh... Main reason I went to a PowerBox Core was the telemetry capability. Was recently flying with Futaba but their telemetry is a little lacklustre. I was mainly flying helis for many years but now also moving into jets (turbines) so telemetry is more if a need.
@PeterOZ61
@PeterOZ61 Месяц назад
@@CVHeliPilot yup I am not sure about spektrum telemery, I think it is probably quite limited as well. I assume the PB sensors are used via the PB unit? Turbines are a bit quick and pricey for me. My skills are definitely not up to one of those though I do love the tech!

@@PeterOZ61 The bus system used by PowerBox (P2Bus) is a feature on their receivers and PowerBox units. It is by far technically the best telemetry system of any current RC brands.

Thanks Constas so I connected GPS three to fast track on Mercury SR two and I set the alarm at 200 and it gave me a reading at 160 but then it disappears when you land can I also somehow save the highest reading so when I land, I can see what I did and also should I connect the GPS three right on the RX one 2060 receiver, fast track port or data port on the receiver not the mercury SR two because it’s not working consistentlyon the mercury
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot 3 месяца назад
You can double click on the telemetry widgets to display min/max values after you land. Connecting to 26D is no problem...you need to connect it to the P2Bus port on the Rx and NOT the FastTrack port when connecting it directly to the Rx. You then just need to setup a new telemetry widget for the GPS to view its parameters.

@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot 8 месяцев назад
Thanks...Yes the measurement units can be changed. This is done from the Core/Atom Settings/System menu where you can set the system to display metric or imperial units. Note this affects all readings.

Ok added extra y cable. Rescanned it and shows up well in sensors. Then set alarm to the far right at 220 mph. And repetitive. And it also showed a triangle in the screen background I guess i did not have a slow speed. ? Did a flight and bam it said 220 beep. But didn’t even reach 175. Was right after I took off then turned on down link. Not full throttle lower altitude etc etc. So then after landed tried to click and hold widget like you said and only the address page would show. Not the minimums and maximums speeds. ??ok. 2nd flight set lower alarm speeds. 160. 200. 225. And while taxing out. It was saying 160. Lmaof. Ok how to Calibrate it now and set permanent high speeds only ??? lol thanks for your help. 🤗

You need to 'double press' the widget and not continuously press/hold on it to get into the min/max readings.

@@CVHeliPilot it’s a BVM ultra bandit. No pic at the moment not home. But. It’s on the passenger side near cortex pro on side of fuse. Might move it back behind all the electronics but in front of turbine. Plenty of room but need long extension. But it’s not calibrated at all.

I want to add gps and igyro with PB pioneer. Can I get the speed compensated gyro gain if I Y connect both the igyro and the gpsiii in the one fastrack port on the pioneer itself? And then for turbine telemetry I can just plug into one of the pbus ports on one of the receivers?
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot 3 месяца назад
Yes thats correct...! When you connect the gyro and GPS to the Pioneer's FasTrack port it manages them both as well as enabling the speed compensation feature. All other telemetry stuff connects to P2Bus on any receiver.

Could the GPS have been connected to the FastTrack/Data port on one of the receivers rather than to the FastTrack/Data port on the Mercury? Would the GPS parameters appear as parameters of the receiver it is plugged in to?
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot 3 месяца назад
With stand alone receivers the GPS must be connected to the P2Bus port and not the FastTrack port. The GPS connection to the receivers is a little different which is why you must use the P2BUS. If connecting directly to the Rx then you will not get GPS speed compensation of the Gyro. You will just receive GPS data (eg Long, Lat, Speed etc) telemetry on that Rx.
@Gliding-uk3di
@Gliding-uk3di 3 месяца назад
@@CVHeliPilot Thank you. And a somewhat related question: could one plug a 26D (either from its FastTrack or from its P2B port - I'd assume FastTrack though) into the FastTrack port on a second 26D that is in turn connected via its P2B port to the Mercury's RX1port (as opposed to the more typical connection of the receivers into the RX1 and RX2 respectively on the mercury)? No specific use case for this, just curious if it is possible.
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot 3 месяца назад
@@Gliding-uk3di Currently this is not possible with the 26D receivers. The only receiver which can function as a satellite style type connection (where one Rx plugs into another) is the 26XS. The 26XS is designed for this type of connection where you plug it into the FastTrack port of another Rx to provide you an additional Rx path.

I hooked up through FastTrack on my mercury SR two GPS three and a core radio and I followed your steps and it does not work so now what do I do? I can’t use the PBS too because I’m using a Y cable for that to use VP to run teleTree on my radio from the motor motor
@CVHeliPilot
@CVHeliPilot 3 месяца назад
Hi Don, Receivers should be connected to Rx1 and Rx2 ports in Mercury via P2Bus ports on Rx. GPS to FastTrack on Mercury... If using gyro, use a y-lead to connect both gps and gyro to FastTrack port on Mercury. The telemetry from the Mercury only comes out if the Rx1 port. You need to setup telemetry widgets for the Rx that is connected to the Rx1 port on your Core to view telemetry from the Mercury.

@@CVHeliPilot ok Iam Using cortex pro. So not issue. Also using v speak with Y cable already for turbine telemetry on core …. Also learned about plugging direct into mercury on fast track. Hmmm... Maybe post up on the PB forum and see what Richard says. 9 to 11 sats is a good number so the speed should read better than what you are getting. Have you tried looking at the logs to see at exactly which point in the flight it reads high....?
