As an Honkai Impact 3rd player.. I will be the first to tell you in a "Honkai" game... you get wayyyyy more value in supports in over dps. I will use Eden, a lightning support character that released 2022 .. is STILL relevant in lightning teams today whereas the lightning DPS Aponia, who released in the same patch as Eden has long left the lightning meta ages ago. EOD already mentioned for Jingliu that shes still strong but Ice isn't in the rotation for MoC atm hence why she feels weak. Eventually when Ice meta comes back.. there will most definitely be a brand new Ice DPS who outclasses Jingliu just as she did Yanqing. It is the Hoyo formula to rotate and sell dps.
@tdof7217 Their has been 3 new lightning units released since Eden release. 4 technically since HoT got divine key and a fifth one coming next version and Eden still retains her usage regardless. We already have 3 part 2 lightning units with next patch which is more than any element The powercreep in honkai is very different beast than star rail since game doesn't have traditional grind system rather relies on horizontal coverage and frequent abyss rotation so what unit works depends upon the bosses being brought to abyss since every boss has their own top team. A character gets power crept when they either specifically release a character that covers that character boss better or they stop bringing boss it's boss altogether like HoR was best ice mech dps for over 5 years but they eventually they stopped bringing her bosses so technically she was powercrept even though whenever her boss appears she was uncontested best. Also most characters in honkai last 1 to 2.5 year in meta. Even infamous example like Nyx who is famous for getting powercrept fast was best ice dps for 8 patches and best qua dps for 11 patches
@@tdof7217i thought it was pretty obvious that an 2 year old support would eventually get powercrept. You're totally ignoring my entire point. All you saw was *Hi3rd* and proceeded to type with the bare minimum knowledge of Hi3rd. And if youre gonna go by the narrative of powercreep per patch.. HSR has it too with FF powercreeping Acheron 🤷 ...according to FF havers
I feel like constant HP increase of end game mobs still doesnt play in favor of Jingliu who really need a lot of turns to shine (with Bronya) which make her fall really fast in term of cycles, she remain strong but I'm afraid she's slowly falling, it has been the case with Lunae too they both performed less well than usual
The firefly comp is by far my favorite thing that honkai starbucks did. You telling me i dont have to build crit, can use gally who we got for free(paired with f2p Quid pro), harmony MC free, and the fact FF doesnt need her signature light cone when herta LC is just fine. The only investment was getting ruan mei who was on 2 banners. Yeah they cooked with that one. Like i understand on the flipside she's unfortunately stuck to one team but that team is so effcient to build.
She's the cheapest most f2p friendly character, you just need to get Ruan Mei. I got her because of that, other characters need too much investment remembering the nature of the game and restrictive team building. She's restrictive but at least she doesn't need LCs or other limited 5 stars and already perform the same to the more expensive and heavily invested units.
@cubicust Yup and it's the fact that it's literally the #1 team for meta which is insane to think about. FUA is expensive if you want the best(RAT combo with now upcoming feixiao) and acheron while I do think imo she's slightly stronger requires some crit investment which is fine as that's usually the standard and I'd argue her LC is a must unless maybe you have S5 goodnight sleep well I was a launch player who played only for like 2 weeks during seele banner and left. Came back in 2.3 during FF banner, was interested in her comp so I bum rushed all the content and story I missed over the year for jades and got her and Ruan Mei during those banners. Was immediately noticing how she was clearing her side quickly in end game content. Just needed a 2nd team. Once I got my yunli comp for 2nd team I was able to max star all 3 end game modes.
@@cubicust I would add that if you didn't manage to get Ruan Mei Asta is an amazing replacement. She gives FF shit ton of speed, increases her fire damage, and can get a lot of stacks from her talent because FF can implement fire weakness.
I think that the current 2.4 event, Trailblaze: Friendship is Magic!, foreshadows of what much may come in Honkai: Star Rail. It uses summons, destruction and erudition units, Blade-like HP scaling destruction units, HP buffers, Luocha-like powerful abundance units, Pokémon-like evolving summons, counter follow-up attack destruction units, advance forward and energy regeneration (nothing new, but continue to be important), self-sacrificing summons and attacks, multiple summons, etc. In addition to many summons, units used in this event include a number of destruction units, a number of abundance units, some harmony and support units, two DoT units, two preservation units, an erudition unit, and no hunt units.
95 out of 100 buffs enemies have, can't be dispelled or doesn't matter, overwise Luocha would be much much better. Outside of sustain, his niche is dispel. And dispel is dead mechanic right now.
I always get confused when Pokke says DoT isn't good until I hear him talk about Seele Maybe both ARE bad, but my DoT investment and his Seele investment are just so high we can't see it
That's the problem, we need way too much investment for older DPS and mechanics to be competent. Not a lot of people can go all in into something expensive like that.
I get confused aswell and the only person in my dot team that I’ve invested in is blackswan for her lc. Everyone else is e0s0 and dot still feels strong🤷🏾♂️
you probably only need 1 since lynx and gallagher is pretty good. Almost 500 days without limited sustain now, been able to clear moc just fine but who knows maybe in the future even the trash mob will one shot you 😂
People need to define their terms when referring to power creep. Some people see power creep as one team or character being a better choice _(at that current moment)_ than another. Others see power creep as one unit rendering another unit obsolete. The purest form of this would be something like Yunli and Clara. Their kits are extremely similar, they're both Counter FUA DPS, and they're both Physical. I can't think of one situation where Clara would be preferable over Yunli. A case could be made for Black Swan and Sampo, Sparkle and Bronya, or Aventurine and Gepard, but their kits are different enough where there are still places for the original units to shine and be preferable over the latter _(Bronya is still generally better for most hypercarry scenarios, and Gepard is one of the few units with a built in freeze for Remembrance or any potential future freeze content)_ If we're just going by what the current meta is, power creep is a strange term, because older units can make a comeback with the arrival of newer units.
Quite literally, the only significant advantage Clara has over Yunli is her innate aggro buff, which isn't as important if you pull for Yunli's S1 or use Lynx. And Clara also needs Tingyun to keep that buff up consistently or it just disappears after a turn or two.
dread came out of my face, realizing that archeron can ult more frequently than argenti when both rely on their ults to deal massive damage and the fact Archeron can even deal more damage despite having an easier time launching ult added more suffering to me
Argenti doesn’t have a dedicated harmony battery support or ultimate spam relic set while Acheron does have those things. Argenti bros will have their time to shine when a 5* harmony battery comes out.
@@BigSpore trueee ive been saying this. Argenti and seele and jingliu are the only limited characters stuck on their elemental damage sets (physical and quantum) and out of those, argenti is the only one who doesnt have a good 2pc either (still stuck on salsotto when he doesnt have a fua or glammoth where you dont build him super fast). I hope they make a good energy regen/flat energy/ult damage 4pc or 2pc soon.
@@lordradiance2530 No like fr, there have been tons of mode that increase ult damage, increase aie dmg, battery yet they still haven't release any if those supports. Meanwhile ff completed her team before she even release.
Tbf Acheron gets stacks from a bunch of sources, Argenti relies on a 4 star 1.0 unit and a 5 star ult that doesn’t do too much. Just needs more support is all
Boothill is broken blud you just can't play him 😭 bro is keeping up with Acheron and FF without any proper support and relic set, now imagine he actually gets them
Ummm... his argumentation for not including Aventurine in the Top5 is... head-scratching to be polite. Since when does powercreep equal "utilises all stats"? Like, what? And then he immediately destroys his own argument by including Huohuo who only utilises one stat... Also, dude just forgot Aventurine's synergy with fua teams.
power creep is inevitable, but i think Hoyo just cranked the knobs way to hard, a gradual power ramp up is fine but just going crazy on a few characters just feels like shit.
FR, I was struggling a lot on endgame bcs I only had Ratio, Argenti, and Jingliu as usable DPS, and the moment I got Yunli, I simply destroyed all modes, full stars, for the first time in months. Its insane how a single character can change a whole account like that, just goes to show how over tuned they have been
@@LucasGomes-ng2go it will be a matter of time before old dpses like Jingliu, DHIL, etc will be totally incompetent without expensive heavy investment, rn they still can clear contents with a little investment, even then with maximum cycles. And I don't see any signs of them slowing down the powercreep.
Yunli meta is currently my fave, because I don't need to pull for Yunli because I have clara. Even with low-mid relic (60c100cdmg) I can clear latest hard content easily. If you play long enough, you'd have most element coverage done (even with 4 star, you'll need to experiment making odd comps to tackle certain enemies) I was saving for e6 kafka as F2P, the only toughest MoC is Jingliu era for me. My YangKing dont have good relic and sustain, and missed 1 star in 1 MoC
I think hoyo made the mistake of making Gallagher action advance 100% upon ULT on top of having insane sustain, being SP positive, generally usable in almost all team comps, can cleanse, and can deal insane break dmge. Truly the GOAT
@@Micru_6 it's still worth to try, even if enemies goes faster than light still can't beat 4 turn Wind Shear from Sampo, and it depends how much spd Kafka and BS can take overturn. I just wish, someday hoyo gonna release DoT can crit, like we already saw in DU.
I don't think Firefly's going to be meta for very long tbh. Her entire team's built around a mechanic that's super easy for Hoyo to directly counter, and she's a parasitic character that requires both Harmony MC AND Ruan Mei to work as intended. Acheron's probably safe, but I could see her falling off a bit eventually. My prediction is that Hypercarry units will start seeing 'buffs' next, as FUA is basically feature-complete, and DoT only really needs a dedicated Harmony unit to be completely cracked.
Firefly team will collapse when enemies have high off element resistance or no break bar (already exist in zzz) or super high hit break bar, or supremely fast bosses that can cheat turns
People always have this argument, and they had they same scenario with DoT. What if they release enemies immune to DoT?! The reality is if they did, just put a non firefly team to deal with the firefly counter and put firefly on the other side of MoC. Same with DoT, same with FuA. Hoyo as scummy as gacha game companies are aren't going to wake up one day and say 'you know what, fuck firefly we're removing break bars from EVERY enemy in the game' it's just not a good idea. I think people are too focused on vertically investing in a single character, but if you truly want to survive, horizontally invest on team archetypes. I have a FuA, DoT, Break and acheron team that I can switch between depending on hoyo's flavour of the month and im only a monthly pass user. Eidilons and LC only on reruns, focus on getting the team archetypes functioning and you barely feel powercreep.
But Break Bar is one of the main mechanics of HSR, it doesn’t make sense for enemies to be completely immune. Immune during certain phases like Bronya or Yanqing, sure, but not 100% uptime. That would be beyond stupid
@@pondypoo All enemies have to do is lock their break bars often enough, and Firefly just won't hold up. That's all it'll take. Enemies doing what they already do, but more often.
I like the way genshin does it where there's 2-3 broken characters each year & as long as you have them you're immune to powercreep till the next year, whereas in star rail broken units fall off just 6 months or less with some exceptions like ruan mei
the way i still use childe international to clear abyss, it’s been 3 YEARS. really happy with how arle turned out, she pretty much replaced hu tao who ive been using in abyss since her first banner, but it’s insane how it took this long
Talk to yourself, because HSR glazers hates this facts. Not mentioning that the 4 stars in HSR are also sucks balls (the dmg dealers, DoT based, sustain, even the buffer)
@@lycerisrico8943 either you're trolling or just straight up doesn't play the game at all, gallagher (4*) > luocha (limited 5*) lynx (4*) > bailou (standard 5*) march 7th hunt (4*)/xueyi is currently one of the best break damage dealer 3rd to boothill and firefly herta (4*) is the best option for PF currently tingyun (4*) is one of the best buffer and battery character right now.
The powercreep is real and it feels worse because each mode targets different archtypes, that's a lot worse than Genshin, because to complete a team archetype takes a lot of time and resources. An example that many people use is pure fiction with herta/himeko but then the mode targets DoT and if you don't have that archetype: gg: get good/pull better
Herta/Himeko clears one half of PF regardless of Whimsicalities, for every other type of character though on DOT PF’s you need a DOT character. I couldn’t clear one half of PF with enough points, then I threw a level 70 Guinaifen in there and abused the PF buff to clear it.
Or you could have figured out AoE is the most universal archetype when you were in 1.0 and built them to beat moc without listening to the community's drivel. Then it gives a lot of ease. Not to mention, the rotation buffs make sure multiple archetypes work. The only people affected by this actually don't understand the game enough to form a strategy. If you want to himeko-herta the dot rotation it will just require more from your sustain because of the enemy advance forward, the buff even gives you a free dot to help. You can also exploit it with counter characters, as long as the player doesn't follow tier lists or bad advice for pulling and actually understands what their account needs any character they pick will work. Otherwise, then you're right, "pull better" is the solution.
In general I find that not being meta slave and not trying to pull every new latest character, you can still at worst get 11/12 stars if your previous old-meta teams were well built, so it all comes down to how badly you want that last remaining star. I havent had a perfect 12 star clear since Sam's first debut in MOC but I don't really want to chase those perfect clears anymore because having to build many characters to cover all the team archetypes means more relic RNG hell and I want to avoid that.
@@XieRH1988 If you got it once you probably should be able to keep getting it without much effort, my only unit with max traces is Acheron and I didn't have to upgrade anyone's build this far to get the 12 stars. Did you skip too many supports maybe? If you happen to want some advice feel free to ask
Hot take: I like using Fu xuan over adventurine. She’s the only character that has a team damage mitigation plus free crit stats as a sustain. For adventurine, if an enemy attacks one character religiously, that shield is going down VERY fast. This makes him SP negative in some scenarios. Also, his effect res is 50/50 on teammates which can absolutely fuck up a run. Fu. Xuan on the other hand has a 100% effect res once on her skill for the entire team which come in clutch especially if fu xuan has a lot of speed. Adventurine is still good, but I find myself using Fu more because I don’t have to worry about my shield breaking faster due to rng. (I have her E1 so I might be biased, idk)
Both gud but aventurine can be best in slot for some team because he can debuff the enemy, better toughness break if enemy imaginary weak, and synergy with follow up unit.. also these dudes are the best sustain in all SIM universe variations. No other sustain comes close to this boy when utilising preservation blessings. Fu xuan also can be SP negative if u against enemy than deal high frequency of debuff. Or if u need ult quick to gain stack for heal. It is less common though it can happen sometimes.
I fully agree. I have her since her release and I built her fast so that she can refresh skill more faster- just in case the run gets fucked up. By building her fast, she can generate sp and provide buffs and sustain the team. She's literally unbeatable once you reach 160spd with at least 8k hp and 2k def, which i currently have. I am aiming for her e4 next rerun as I feel like she'll be in my team for a very long time.
Fu Xuan doesn't increase effect res. It's CC immunity for 1 hit per skill cast. This means she and her teammates can still get affected by stat-downs, DOT, and other debuffs that don't stun.
Power creep is pretty self evident in this game. Ffs upcoming MoC boss has 2.9 million hp and 275 speed. This isn’t genshin, EVERYTHING you pull WILL be power crept.
DoT is still great just overshadowed by FuA and break but they don’t struggle to clear at all. Like in pokke review of cn team if I remember correctly DoT is one of the most consistent team to appear so 🤷♂️ And there is no dedicated DoT support thats what come next in my opinion for DoT.
Mobs get more and more HP in MOC currently (other still not much) and It's gonna reach another level in a few months. I afraid that your favourite DPS characters in 1.X will be almost unuseable in 3.0 and so on
EOD gamer was the first channel that I watched with anything hsr related. Im surprised he hasnt been to much collab with other streamers. To the topic of powercreep, im getting to the point that im getting burned out in the game due to the constant need of chasing units. The game is so good in making me feel like if I dont have this unit then I wont get full rewards. Yeah losing 60-80 jades for the last star isnt really a big deal but it gets tiring to chase a new character just bcs the new enemies are made for them
Also it is always about killing as quickly as possible in every mode... Even in some of the Simulated Universe (don't remember which), if the fight lasts too long the boss gets a bonus... Come on, i was having fun, just let me play ! It could be ok if the grinding for resources was not so limited. But if it takes days to improve the characters, then it gives the time to think about a better way to spend free time as well...
Kafka's one of those immovable characters from "meta". Because all Hoyo really needs to do is release another DoT character and boom she's insanely relevant again. They release another DoT Proccer? Run Kafka and that character for double procs. They release a DoT character with insane scalings? Kafka procs it. They release a DoT support that's better suited for DoT? Kafka's there. They release a DoT oriented sustain better than HuoHuo? Kafka's there. Imagine if Hoyo released DoT characters or DoT supports in the same frequency they released Follow Up DPS and supports. Like so long as Hoyo doesn't just flat out neglect DoT like they neglect Geo in Genshin, Kafka is always suited for the future.
This is the reason why I get Kafka on her first banner.. She is just future proof for DOT team.. Even if they eventually make another DOT enabler like Kafka, you can use both in one team and both proc the dot at twice the rate..
@@GReyn Even the dev consider her future proof. 2 of her first eidolons are catered for dot only. I believe no one can replace Kafka in dot team, a good example is Jiaoqiu. Even though he's more of a support side, replace Bs with him is still better than replace Kafka.
Kafka will be relevant forever, because she has one of the easiest follow up attack triggers. She has a FuA that triggers if other units do a basic attack. Kafka with a lot of speed can apply 3 times FuA per cycle. Of course you can run other units but if you have Kafka, you can still use kafka as a Feixiao enabler.
People really have amnesia right? Fu Xuan was just getting one shot a few weeks ago in MoC and people suddenly put her as the highest safest sustainer in the game? Lmao
This is an account investment issue & always has been, my e0s0 Fu Xuan had literally never died since release outside of SU modes. And I've used her against pretty much everything. If she's getting countered by Sam and the like, that's still on your account investment level. I've taken FX into MoC 12 Sam and never even felt the need to look at HP. Just improve your FX, your supports, and your DPSs and you'll be completely fine against any content in this game, even against the upcoming Hoolay. Pulling new sustains because your account isn't invested enough is a terrible idea in my opinion. If you're pulling Aventurine for FuA synergy, he's more than worth it, but not because he enables your team to survive more easily.
"You don't need Aventurine's dmg if the enemy has imaginary resistance" Did dude know that Aven can be built into a full shielder? His dmg is just an additional option plus as for me increasing %res is better than 100% on one debuff. Blud really plays favorites on this one😂

There was a brief window _(when him and Seele were the only limited DPS)_ where he'd carry one side of MoC. 30* was tough back then, and he helped out a lot.

@@editimpact66 I know because I use my e0s0 Fu Xuan to clear Sam. SAM is a direct counter to Fu Xuan in that: - HP drain on skill mechanic ignores her dmg mitigation and redirection. - He has frequent and fast AOE attacks - He has a fire DOT that actively puts pressure on Fu Xuan - He reduces both the HP Fu Xuan restores from her talent and teammates on ULT. Despite this she is still very much capable on of keeping the team alive to beat SAM, I would know as I use my Fu Xuan on both my Ratio-Quantum and Acheron teams every time he rotates. This simply because as long as she is alive you're team will not die. As long as a boss does not insta kill Fu Xuan or gap her talent both of which are difficult to do, her and thus her team stays alive.
I mean, Kafka might not be top tier but she still can easily clear pretty much all the content with her BIS teams. And if they release a DoT character who does what she does but better you just run them both.
Still waiting for that new endgame mode that MrPokke mentioned. An endless survival mode where the enemy gets more stronger each time they attack will revive Ice element since Ice element break is pretty meh when the game is focused on clearing shit as fast as possible.

To me, power creep has always meant that when a character has essentially been replaced by a better kitted character, like Kokomi and Barbara. Like, almost exact copy of the basic function. An example is the new healer Lingsha coming next patch. I mean sure she isn't a 1:1 Gallagher with her kit, but she does buff BE in some way, she heals, she's Fire and she has AOE damage on top of all that. Her being Fire is probably the only reason it's kind of bad for Gallagher, but she's one of the few instances of genuine power creep so far. Most of the roster so far has enough pros AND cons (at E0) to be different from each other and useful in different situations. I still use Blade for certain things for example. Even though he was released only a few months into the games release, I still use him a decent amount.

Boothill doesn’t much benefit from HMC as much as he does Bronya. There’s damage calcs that folks have ran to show it. For a unit that doesn’t have relics catered to him (cough Firefly) he’s disgustingly flexible. Even if you don’t have RM he can run with Pela just fine for Def shred.
An idea of mine for end game gamemodes would be that instead of giving you jades directly, it give you a currency that can be exchange (with limit) to jades.
Huohuo being here is gassing it up. Shes starting to show her age. You only run her in two types of teams, argenti teams (and argenti is not meta), and dot teams because every other sustain is anti synergy with dot. Atk buffs end up being super diluted, only dot really cares about super high atk buffs, and her energy buff sounds like a lot but its really whatever. 20% energy on the two biggest energy characters rn, argenti and yunli being 180 and 240 energy. 20% of each is 36 energy and 48 energy. Both of which are still lower then 1 tingyun ult. And huohuo gets her ult much slower then tingyun get hers. You can argue that it helps the other members of your team but typically, other sustains and harmonys are designed to have 100% uptime on ult, they usually have no energy issues. @@grass7560 Fr, 40% atk and 20% energy for the whole team, with heal and cleanse too. One of the main reason why Gal is so strong is the fact that he can use qpq to generate an extra 16 energy with his ult. Meanwhile Huohuo can use both qpq along with her ult energy regen
Kafka and DoT is still really strong, and it will probably remain strong because of how the comp works. And Kafka will likely always be the queen of it unless we get another unit who can also detonate DoT procs.
I wouldn't be surprised if the game adds a new elements as well as new effects to counter super break in the future. By this I mean using HI3rd for example. We're lucky we still don't have Stardust, the weird hp loss mechanic that is Shigure Kira specific for one boss. It might be important to look at HI3rd to understand how powercreep may go. That game is also powercreep tied to teams rather than individual units.
I really believe that hsr would benefit a lot by adding an endgame mode that is similar to the abyss in epic seven. A permanent, non rotational game mode that has no buffs, dozens of stages with good rewards, and isn’t a game mode where you have to defeat the enemies before time runs out. Instead, it’d be a game mode where you have to defeat an insanely powerful enemy(s), giving rise to a lot of new, interesting strategies that focus on survivability rather than clearing.
I'm afraid that Hoyo will reduce the MOC cycles to 5 because Acheron, Firefly teams clear MOC in atleast 1 or 0 cycles at E0 & people are expecting future dps to clear it in 0 cycles😢. Remember the days where MOC has 15 cycles to get all rewards?😢
@@ziodyne7774 wdym me?😡. I have 0 interest in 0 cycle clears. Though I did see some YT videos clearing with E0 using wind set, s5 DDD & lots of speed stat on supports. I'm saying people are expecting too much from the future dps characters & deciding based on these 0 cycle clear or not
38:26 well for the first wave he can implant weakness using his skill because this weakness implant is from his technique. So he doesn't have issues with the first wave but you really gotta make sure u have boothill ult for the second wave and already have three pocket trick shots . Tldr : u cant spam his ult simply or ur screwed for the 2nd wave.
37:00 I'd argue Acheron is just as good if not better at dealing with off-element as Boothill and Firefly, and that's because she's the only one that has built-in RES Shred (the debuff she applies to all enemies at the start of her Ult) Off-element, Boothill and Firefly both have to deal with the 20% base resistance that enemies have, since it does affect break/super break damage. (Ruan Mei does allow them to penetrate that Res, but if you hypothetically ran her with Acheron in either sustainless or E2 comps, then that would be greater total of Resistance that you are ignoring)
Honestly as long as any team of support, buffer, damage dealer can still complete content that is coming then technically there hasn't been any powercreep in the truest sense.
Eh, I already quit the game around Boothill’s banner because of the blatant powercreep that began with version 2.0 and Acheron. Pure fiction was already meh before, but it became unbearably obnoxious from 2.0 onwards. Rapid health bloat and more elites, some of them equipped with crowd control effects that could ruin an otherwise good run. That mode was never fun to me and just took away from the (previously enjoyable) MOC. This game has too many “must have” units IMO. I remember I got immensely bored of using Bronya, Kafka and Ruan Mei specifically. I could never use Jingliu without Bronya because all of the buffs were necessary to chip away at the bloated health pools. This game is hugely restrictive when it comes to team comps in the endgame. The only decision left for me was which team got to have Ruan Mei and that’s about it. Of course plenty of teams can work, but meta harmony units certainly dominated the endgame around the time I quit playing. There’s simply too many unit checks in this game’s endgame content IMO.
Good supports are needed in a turn based games You have many units you need to complete the game by default btw and many resources to even pull some characters you need to clear all the ENDGAME(the modes that suppose to be the peak test for your acc and skill btw) content, but people tend to justify their severe skill issue with powercreep(which is insignificant) or any other shit. Btw imagine stop playing the game cause you cant clear the endgame xd
@@ziodyne7774 Can't clear the endgame? Feel free to point out where in my comment I explicitly stated that I was unable to clear MOC12 / 36 stars total. The problem was not being able to clear it, it's that it became restrictive and very unenjoyable. I even cleared the awful MOC12 that had Aventurine boss in it and that was some of the least fun I ever had with the game. So I stopped playing because I was no longer having fun with the game. You don't need to explain to me how the game works, I know it full well and base my opinion on my own experiences. Harmony units in HSR are omnipotent and boring because of that. Tingyun, Ruan Mei, Bronya etc. are so vital that they straight up restrict player choice because without them your damage drops off a cliff. I knew full well how to utilize their buffs properly, such as not using Bronya's ult before Jingliu's advance forward action was over etc. My grievances with the game are not "skill issue" though you may believe otherwise if it makes you feel better. Proper turn-based games have far more strategic depth than HSR. Especially ones where positioning of units on a grid is relevant to success. They give far more tools and options to strategize and approach problems. HSR is a puzzle game more than it is a strategy game. It just wants you to use the specific puzzle pieces it asks of you and after that you hardly need to do any strategizing at all within the actual battle.
Weirdly enough jingliu is my most used pure fiction unit. We haven't had much ice in the other modes but she got me 40k in pure fiction for a long time now. Her + herta + ruan mei on the set that buffs same element damage of the rest of the team.
38:09 As a Boothill main, I can confirm that if there are no physical weakness against multiple enemies, then he kinda struggles. But if his teammates contributes in reducing the toughness bar(Aven, HMC, Gallager etc) even without physical weakness, then Boothill is good 👍.
I just want old characters to get special support to increase different interactions. Because old characters still have their niche like seele has her own reset where other characters don't it's just getting harder and harder to proc her reset. Then there's some characters that are completely useless now that were good before like fire MC, or hook.
absolutely agree with EOD's take on 5 units, he remained true to himself across the video and consistent with his own topic/title. All 5 units he mentioned might not be the best FOR NOW, but the fact that they will NEVER be a bad unit because of their 'anti-archetype' trait makes them timeless.
Leaks are all over the internet buddy 😂 as long as you care about it or not since f2p players won't blind pulling trash characters and soon realize they are powercreeped so fast
My team consist mostly of all hunts, harmony and nihility (DOT) and 4 star sustain xd. Everything else does not matter. Has made me push Seele as my way to avoid Erudition or destruction. I would say that my gameplay depends completely on my hunters more than anything and had to improvise for each game mode. Though having new hunter does expand in what I am able to do.
Spoiler alert: 3 of the next region have been leaked. Two of them is rumored to play on hp draining comp and one play on summon comp. Which line up perfectly with 2 stages in the new trashcan event, so this event might be used to test unrelease character kit. With that being said, we can actually predict new characters from 3.0 to 3.3. There will be dot support, hp draining support, summoner support, counter support and skill point support.
Tingyun fell off since new units don't need energy. But the moment a new one comes out that wants energy, Tingyun is immediately the automatic top tier pick
48:48 I kinda like to think he added kafka there because pretty much any dot advancements in the future which we know will happen, kafka is like your must pull for that archetype I kinda compare topaz to kafka because they're almost the same for their respective play styles and even then topaz is not really a must pull for a lot of follow up attack characters unlike kafka.
Edit: Just realized I've condensed my thoughts from both this video and a video from EOD lol. I'll let it stay for comedic value, and the few who can connect the dots. Being f2p I've had great sucess with a model leaning a fair bit towards vertical investment. Any model is imo sustainable if you plan ahead and manage your ressources. Identifying when something broken is released that you need to pull on (both characters, LCs and eidolons), and knowing which synergies work with your account is 10 times as valuable as adhering to either horizontal or vertical investment the way I see it. I would rather suggest it comes down to personality traits, which line you should lean towards. Vertical investment favors the players who like to strategize around fewer characters, and who likes to have insanely good relic setups to the point where you can leave some characters and teams under museum glass. Horizontal favors the players who like to work around with all the new characters, playstyles, relics and buffs. Frequency in upgrades are far greater, but won't impact your account as much. If you're prone to burnout and fomo this is probably a more sustainable way to keep you engaged. I favor the vertical investment strategy slightly. I enjoy the massive powerspikes to the point where I feel like my account is completely revitalised. DHIL will forever be my goat, and still carries my account to this day. And if you have FF/RM you are goated in terms of value by default btw. If you know your genshin and mr. pokke you might as well call it SUUUPA HYPAAABLOOM
I mean super break is so busted i can drop an entire unit (Galagher) and i don't notice it in the 0 cycle performance. This is box play 0 cycle's entirely within reach for light spenders/vertically invested f2ps
Bro talking about team comps But I still can't forgive nor forget when he made his Clara guide and was defending with way too much confidence that Gepard was the best sustain for her 💀 I struggle to take him seriously since that day But yeah he still got lot of good points
about the new styles, SU blessings kinds of gives the hint already, like maybe Preservation meta like we can get a unit that can do similarly to "Quake" or Abundance meta will have similar to "Dewdrop"....but who knows but I really believe new styles stems from the SU Blessings
I pulled for Jiaoqiu anyway, as Acheron rerun cant be far off and i need a 2nd team Other option was Dot, but i think skipping Kafka and Blackswan for Acherons lightcone may be better
Lol him putting jq in top 5 is literallt smoking crack, don't get me wrong, jq is still good with acheron but he aren't top 5 level. He is only good with acheron and he ain't really versatile anywhere else. It's very far fetched to call him top 5 when there are way better units than him.
