Barack Dur also can be activated for B where X is 0 to make a 0/0 army that will die immediately, which some black decks especially like "when things die" triggers. Insane card.

Barad-Dur can also notably make a 0 toughness creature for 1 (functionally 2) mana, giving you another free instant death trigger or creature etb for crazy cheap

I love Junk Winder, it’s an absolute menace in my Lonis deck. Also, another thing about Fiery Inscription that makes it extra good is that unlike Guttersnipe, it triggers prowess! It’s an excellent card in decks that don’t want to run many creatures.

Taunt from the ramparts is also a pseudo overrun. The turn it comes down all your opponents creatures can’t block you either. So you swing with abandon. Can’t be blocked, can’t be cracked back.

I love bushwhack, my decks tend to chug mana like dragons, so having a 1 green color opener is often a life saver or just efficient card use for a floating green mana or something.

Tivit has been insane in my Raffine Reanimator deck. Great card to reanimate and it's also cheap enough to cast on its own. My opponents' jaws drop when they see it has Flying, Ward 3, and votes twice.

Bushwhack is an MDFC. I just got it for my four colored deck, and for my mono-green deck. MDFC's mean I either get a spell or a land but lose out on exactly one mana for a turn if I play the land - this does that. Sure I need green to cast it, but that's made up for by the fact that it fixes. I'd play this over Khalni Ambush, but I play both.

So I’m playing an upgraded quantum quandrix deck (adrix and nev) and I was wondering if junk winder would be a good choice for this deck since I would likely have enough tokens to run it pretty well. Also would the effect trigger once from avenger of zendikar’s plants or once for each token created?

the blue land, (Rivendell) is actually also really cheap here in europe. and scry2 for 2 mana is pretty good. you do need to control a legendary, but that is not hard in commander.

The new Radagast the brown can be found for close to or under a dollar and is basically guardian project with more words on it (in non tribal decks)

I added myr convert to my Queen Marchesa deck not because it's a myr, or is a creature, or has toxic, but because it's a cheap 2 mana rock that helps me get white, black and red to cast stuff on curve

I run Zaffai as an X spell deck lol ive just shoved in as many discount effects as possible (goblin electromancer, baral) and i have all of the 'draw X' spells i can. She is such a fun commander

tivit as a commander, even if built as budget, can be pretty oppressive and isnt suited for all pods. i enjoyed playing tivit but after two games i took it apart, as i saw how bad a time my opponents were having lol
