I bought a broken inverter for $ 5, I failed to repair it, because the IC was abraded, I didn't know the name of the IC. so i disassembled it to get electronic components. I have obtained 500VA transformer, primary 12V 0 12V, secondary 220V and 240V. There are also many mosfet, relay, capacitor etc. I tried making simple inverter from electronic components from broken ups. Luckily, it works well. This inverter uses ZVS oscillator circuit, you can find it on google. It is very simple, including mosfet, 2 diodes and 2 resistors. because it is so simple, the voltage quality is not good, there are many voltage spikes, you need to use filter capacitors 1 to 2uF at 220V output. I tried it with 6mosfets using a 12v battery the was not well charged and it worked but couldn't even charge a phone but lighted an 18w bulb. When I tried it with a very charged 12v battery, there was a spark at the point of connecting it to the battery terminals. In fact, cable that goes into the center of the transformer got heated up, likewise the negative and terminal cable.. What could have probably gone wrong? Could it be that there is a limit of current from a battery that the circuit can handle? Please sir, I need more clarifications from your bank of experience. I noticed you didn't reveal the battery voltage you used for the project. What battery or power supply voltage you used.
cái này tần số nó ko cố định như dùng ic dao động, nó từ 46 47 đến 55hz . nói chung là trừ motor thì bị nóng ra còn lại là ok hết, mắc cho nó cái tụ lọc 0.47uF đầu ra nữa cho êm.

when connecting light, voltage is up and down (0-250 showing on meter) so light start blinking . but without connecting light voltage is ok and constant.pls tell me what to do
Use a dropper capacitor with parallel 2 watt resistor of required value, in series with the live side of output for dropping the extra voltage. You can try 225j parallel with 330 ohms 2 watt and connecting this combination in series with L or N side of the output.

would love seeing more re use for the componet loaded ATX that are tossed too landfill's. And all those crt's and flat monitors,,, surely there is a valuable re purpouse in there somewhere,, an oscilliscope maybe? thanks for sharing
If you use 220V to charge the battery, and use the battery to run this inverter, it will not reduce your electricity bill. Use a wind turbine or solar panel to recharge the battery. and use the battery at night.
