*walks in jungle to use the “powerful jungle knife”*…. Proceeds to cut a water bottle in half. Hmm yes, totally legit jungle knife. Very strong. For you, 50% off
few problems i see.. 1. quenches with the wrong liquid, don’t use water use oil then put clay around the side of the spine and the edge/bevel and then slowly heat it up then let it cool down then you will have a really good “knife” 2. make sure the blade overall is balanced either right above the handle of the blade or an inch or so above the handle 3. it’s not a knife.. it’s a machete 4. “jungle “knife”” test it on wood not plastic bottles, we don’t care how sharp it is on a plastic bottle, we want to know the durability and the strength of the edge of the blade (+more realistic when using on wood)
This thing is either not gonna hold amd edge at all or is so brittle any real use will snap it because any steel that u quench in water is not a steel u want for ur blade
Really depends. Quenching in water can in fact lead to problems, but that isn't always the case. Quenching in water does reach the maximum level of hardness, though sometimes can backfire. If its distilled or salt water the chances of it cracking or anything else is far lower though oil is one of the best so just stay with that. Lol
