Hello everyone, my name Aboubakar and I'm from a french speaking Country (Côte d'Ivoire). I've been leaning English since I was In the High school. I've got some communications skills and now I am looking for a partner language friend, specifically a native speaker to practice my English. So, if you're interested, just answered me and we'll make a plan. Thank you!
I love your classes. In addition to learning English, they are very useful for learning about social behavior, job interviews and so many other things. Very thankful

I feel good when someone is listening to me. I feel interested. I think we listen on silent, because sometimes we asked are you there ? I am going to learn the verbal and not verbal cues more now that I am leaving in an english country. I need to imitate you to talk on the way you do. You’re awesome 👏🏻 thanks
Hi Annemarie You sound very professional . I like the paraphrasing part in your videos which reflects your teaching skills. You are a perfectionist in explaining and teaching things that is reaching everyone .
You speak with so much confidence, calmness and clarity... Love the way you speak... Wish to be able to speak like you someday... Thank you Annemarie ❤
What an amazing pronunciation and communication skill! You have constantly brought relevant topics explained in a clear and concise manner. Thank you for sharing so much.
Good afternoon Annemarie! What an honor to participate here on the channel. When I realize that I am not being heard, I do exactly as you said: I stop talking and the person then refocuses his attention. I have learned a lot here on the channel and as I said, it is a great honor to watch your videos. May God richly bless you !!!
A: I am going to help you. B: Seriously ( nodding head) A: Don't worry Be happy B: what!!....I hear what you saying is.. "don't worry be happy"(by lean forward) Yeah....... Noway.....
Teacher Annemarie, you do awesome lessons plus you speak so effortlessly. Thanks a lot your videos are improving my speaking and listening skills and also how to be more polite. Thank you!
In the Hmong culture, older people don't look at you in the face when they are talking to you. Instead, they would turn their face the other way. Also, women never shake hand with men or smile at any men. I love all your videos. Thanks for sharing.
This is very interesting! , Spanish is my tongue language, and we have “the good listener’s rules” , which is basically a list of steps that you must follow to have a conversation, we learn this rules at school and home , one of the rules is “listen in silence to the one speaking”
I am extremely happy to discover your channel! You’re not only a great English teacher, an eloquent speaker, you are giving your viewers a valuable insight on being a better person. You are amazing! I am checking out all of your videos. Thank you so much for your time and effort. please keep them coming! 👍 😊
Another fantastic lesson, thank you! Working on every aspect to improve my English like reading, listening, grammar, watching movies but can't speak because I have no one to talk to practice... it is really disappointing sometimes but I am not going to give up.
I do paying attention on what you have said in this video. You are totally right, and yet listening to other person is a big benefit to ourselves. Thank you for your valuable time. Many thanks.
Hi, Annemarie! What a great educational offering, I’m a Romanian working in a American native speaking environment. Your English communication guidelines are very helpful and motivating!
The older you get, the more beautiful you are. You are not only elegant but intelligent in every sense of the word. One question please: is the word sentence pronounced by some Americans as /sense/ or senece/. I think i heard something like that. Your reply is highly appreciable
I feel we don’t usually use verbal cues/sound to acknowledge that we are listening in our native language (Chinese). I think we would consider others are listening to us if they can make effective response or have facial expressions to react to what we say. Sometime I doubt whether Americans are really listening to me or just pretend to listen to me when they make those verbal cues you mentioned in the video.
Hi AnnMarie I really love the way you carry yourself throughout the session giving us precise and clear information. First impression is the best impression. Really pleasant and graceful presentation. You are Great.
I am Chinese, when we listen other person speaking,we don't use verbal cues because that will give the speaker the impression that you lose your patient to listen,so we just respond when other person finished his speech and use to verbal cue

Thank you, Annemarie for your lesson, especially for the tips what to do when someone isn't listening to you during conversation. I'm rather good at active listening, so good that I have little opportunity to speak by myself! So when I have a chance to speak (very rare) I continue too long and eventually lose someone's attention. Here in Poland we use very similar verbal cues and sounds as English speakers do but we aren't so noisy, I think.
I am in operation and working for an e-commerce giant, I am consistently learning business English through your videos. Thank you for teaching me the word SENSATIONAL.
I found new in this that u suddenly says something out of topic in the sarcastic way that someone gets embarrassed and get full attention to what ur are discussing. It really good and cool way 😊🤗
As always, you are the best teacher, not only in English. but also in attitudes that could emanate only from someone with great respect and feeling for others. THANKS
Hi Annemarie. I live in Brazil. The oral sounds and words we use in Brazilian Portuguese are very similar to those you showed used by English speaker s. Obviously it's not easy to represent them in written form. We also say "entendi" that is "I have understood". Thank you for your very precious classes.
HI Ann have listened to some of your videos , its sound great i need you to test me my fluency and give advice thereafter on direction to use to perfect my listening and speaking skills
(LOOKING FOR WHO TO PRACTICE) I have seen two videos and i´m very excited with the way you learn. I prefer listen youin english and try to understand you that other videos that speak and translate to english. Now i´m finding the way to practice with anyone, an app, web or whatever.
Thank you @Speak Confident English for such a healthy tip you are sharing with us it would prove beneficial for us. In Pakistan we commonly use "جی جی " pronounced as simply "g g" and comparable to "hmmm " and "اچھا" "acha" in weigh to "OK OK " Hope this one is positive addition from my side.
My husband never listen to me, because English is my second language. I’m feeling hurt when he laughing and joke what I speaking. I feel good to learn English with you. Thank you so much. I appreciated.
Annemarie, As always Thank You for sharing positive tips that are beneficial to respond to people. 1. Share listening techniques - typically will give eye contact, yes, or Really. During a team meeting Supervisor had various topics related towards COVID-19, displayed listening by saying yes,.
I truly like your teaching English interpretation in outstanding details for getting us understand & who is unable to speak English fluently, native English speaker or non-native English speaker. Could you teach us some advanced English words or vocabulary in our daily life use on your RU-vid channel, please? Sincerely thank you so much.
Hello, I recently discovered you. I'm at level B1 and I can say you're easy to understand, with a comfortable speed. This lesson is very interesting, so I subscribe to your channel. About the body language, I use it especially when it's important, when I want to give a real impact, that makes a change with a normal conversation.
