I think that this one, Half Way and One Step Forward, and Keep My Head Together are the best three songs on the album. They are very head-focused, and really feel like a person's very deep thoughts and reflections.

Every time I listen the hole album I felt like it's personal, it express my thoughts and feeling so well! The ambient embrace you since the beginning to the end! Such a beautiful master piece by MM!

That guitar solo reminded me of Lazarus too. The album in general had strong Bowie undertones. What Manson did with that solo and that awesome course at the end was straight up euphoric.

Super amazing track its one of my favs and I always get it stuck in my head....like many other tracks on this album. Its amazing. I loved the "waah waah waah wahh" when I heard it 1st its bad ass.

This song makes me think of Jung’s theory of the “Shadow”. Its my opinion, that the “Marilyn Manson” persona is the Jungian Shadow of Brian Warner. This song seems to be a acceptance by Brian’s conscious self of his Shadow, to embrace the “twisted mind that lays beneath the surface”. Brian is accepting he is not a perfect individual and that these “Shadow” thoughts, and tendencies, or eccentricities are actually..okay, and Brian has begun to not only accept his Shadow, but love his Shadow. To assimilate the shadow to become the ideal “Self” in Jungian psychology. I believe Brian has had moments where his shadow has caused him pain in life/relationships, and he’s finally accepting all of this. This is my own personal take on this specific song.
