Hi! So just for clarification, I don't perform the ritual today on the actual new moon, but wait until tomorrow, the first day after? When the moon is a slight crescent?
I'm an Aquarius moon. I clean the slate by drinking plenty of water on the days leading up to the new moon, pulling a tarot card spread just after the new moon to see what the energy of the universe has for me. I reduce activity and do more meditation. As a descendant of Scots-Irish ancestors I will honor my Celtic heritage by asking Brigid of the New Moon to bless me. 🙏
It's made a huge difference for me! Definitely requires some surrender but in the end, and things don't always go according to my plans, but in the end it works out better than I could have ever imagined! Has this been your experience too?
@@amandawalsh2998 definitely! My mind kind of boxes me in in terms of potential, so when I let go of expectations, the outcomes are beyond what I could have possibly imagined/anticipated

I love this, Amanda! This is my favorite New Moon of the year! Great tips! I always use crystals with every new Moon, but I love the recommendation by element like having soil and crystald for an earth sign moon. I like to clean my house, declutter, open the windows and write down intentions. I love to chant and burn a candle, as well. Thanks again! :)
I love this tangible and specific direction for harnessing each new moon especially this one in grounded Taurus. I especially like how you bring in the elements and also the aspects to one's own chart. If I could add, Jan Spiller (now deceased) has an excellent book on new moon rituals. In it she (and others) have spoken on avoiding doing intentionality ceremonies during the void of course phase of the moon.

I can see why it would be theoretically true but always love to test some of the tried and true guidance just to make sure I'm speaking from experience! I uncovered this technique in 2017 waited til the crescent after an eclipse waited for a sign that the time was right a cross in a circle appeared in the clouds. Wrote my intention burned it buried the ashes. A rainbow appeared to show completion. The full moon on the eclipsed degree 18 months later manifested my intent completely
In my personal experience, prayers worked out better than the hours put into magic to get manifestations. Those manifestations often just kicked my ass just say. Prayers typically did not.
I started a business once and I just prayed and asked God to bless me with the perfect first time clients and then I would pray and ask God for more clients and they would always come. And the clients would always be people who would end up recommending me. But when I would use magic, it would always bring me evil outcomes. Things that I did not want.

What I'm talking about here is simply aligning our focus and intention setting efforts with divine qualities (as represented by the astrological archetypes) on a consistent and regular basis, and using the lunar cycle as a simple and effective cue for doing this! This has been a beautiful approach for me and many in our community but of course, there are many ways to connect with God (Source/Universal Energies/Divine Love and Intelligence).
