I will say of the Lord: He is my God, my refuge, my strength, and I will trust him.
For he will deliver you from the bird's snare, and from the pernicious plague.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will trust; your truth will be your shield and buckler.
You will not be afraid of terror at night or the arrow that flies by day.
Not from the plague that walks in the dark, nor from the death toll that plagues at noon.
A thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right, but it will not reach you.
Only with your eyes will you behold, and see the reward of the wicked.
For you, O Lord, are my refuge. In the Most High you made your dwelling.
No harm will come to you, nor will any plague reach your tent.
For he will give orders to your angels to keep you safe in all your ways.
They will hold you in their hands, lest you stumble with your foot in stone.
You will tread on the lion and the snake; Thou shalt trample the lion's son and the serpent at his feet.
Because he loved me so dearly, I will deliver him also; I will put you on a high retreat, because you knew my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will take it away and glorify it.
I will satisfy you for days, and show you my salvation.
