I love my powermatic 3. So far I’m up to 42,134 cigarettes and counting. I do have recommendations for this machine. If you buy stringy tobacco, take scissor to it first and make it a little finer before filling the hopper. Other wise you could get jams. But that’s light prep work and I can roll a carton in about 45 mins. Which is only because I prefer to cut my tobacco first.
@@dylantownsend32lol no shit right? I think the guy is lying. There's 1440 minutes in a day. Take average smoke time of around 5 minutes (hell that may be on the commercial stuff) that means he sleeps for 7.3 hours and smokes non stop the rest. Load of shit.
Have had this for about 4 years and absolutely love it. It costs me about $13 per carton vs $45-$50 for generics. That's a savings of $1600-$1900 per year. Only takes about 5 minutes to roll 50-60 cigs and the machine pays for itself in less than the savings from 7 cartons
I invested in this machine and like it a lot. I would make a recommendation to add a small guiding light by the tube insertion point which is lower on the device. Most people will place this in or on a tray , mine is higher than most at 2-3" which creates some depth and shadow but still ..even if I'm just using it in dim lighting , the brightness of the LED screen on top blinds me to the tube insertion point. I'd recommend lowering the brightness of the top screen or making it adjustable, and adding a small light to illuminate where you put the tube as you really need to be able to see what you're doing. I know you're not the manufacturer but if you sell them maybe you can feed this back to them
Are you making cigarettes in a closet? Are you trapped? Has he hurt you? It's cool that he's cool with smoking but getting an e-roller for a slave is not.
Thank you for making this video, not having an instruction manual come with this machine was very annoying. I was getting so frustrated with it I was thinking of returning it. I'll continue using it with the information you provided!
Hello Dad dude, thank you so much for demonstrated the two types of king & 100mm sizes. Love your video, not much information but I think, just good enough for the first-time use.
I'm confused about the three density settings. Logically, that setting would control how tightly packed the resulting cigarette is. But when you're talking about it, you imply that it has something to do with the length (King vs 100s) of the cigarette, which would be capacity. Not density. In other words, you might want a loosely packed 100, so you would use the lowest setting. I don't think it has anything to do with the length of the cigarette. Can you provide any clarity on this?
In this case, the density setting is really just a matter of how much tobacco is injected into the tube. Density is the word the manufacturer uses. You can packer a "denser" king size cigarette tube with a higher setting or a less dense king size cigarette with a lower setting. Usually once you find the setting you like you will likely not change it. Hope that clears it up a little.
I've had a Revolution machine for a number of years and make both King and 100's (for my wife). The Revolution is not made to do 100's and because of that it does a crappy job on 100's. In addition, the Revolution is vary noisy compared to the 3+. Bottom line is that after watching many RU-vid videos I am going to order the Powermatic 3+ today. It's smaller, quieter and and seems to turn out decent 100's compared to the Revolution machine. Thanks for the video.
I'm trying the Hawkamatic HK3 This Powermatic 3+ just won't stuff 100 tubes all the way to the butt, it does but it's very loose. Don't like that & it jams a lot because you have to finely chop your tobacco which mine is Gambler & it's already fine cut. Plus i sift it & get the dust out but, it still jams. Brand new
I have been using powermatic cig.injectors for 15 years.1 manual 3 powermatic. 3 s 1 powermatic 4 and now 3 .I love all of ur products .thank u for making such high quality products They are built like tanks lol
The cigarette counter on the machine I have which is the exact same one in this video just hit 38,000 today and it works 100% as well still as it did making its first cigarette when I bought it people who don’t have one of these, and make their own cigarettes, who smoke or out of their minds if I do the math between buying the big bags of tobacco and boxes of tubes, it cost me roughly 5 dollars to make 250 cigarettes
I just got my machine and I love it. However, the ends are loose and tobacco falls out the end. Also the pack seems to get looser as time goes buy. How do I prevent this
its never gana be totally perfect u shud always pack each one anyway to make sure it is not loose anywhere. if u di this u will easily find whats causing it to happen since ur seeing how each one rolls with fresh mid or old tobacco. also maybe there could be large stems in some of it that wud prolly make them roll bad
I have this machine and the scrren is now not working. It lights up but you can't see any words/graphics. I have unplugged. Etc. Any idea how to fix this? I have had it since Oct 2022
Hello, I've had my Powermatic 3 plus for a few years, it has been wonderful, except for tobacco hanging off the tip. Anyhow, suddenly it is packing very densely at the tip making it difficult to light & keep lit. Any suggestions? I use the lightest setting.
I've just received my second Powermatic 3 because the 'first one made over 3,000 with minor problems and suddenly started ja. My second arrived two weeks ago, I have to brush out the hopper after 2 cigarettes and some of the time only each end is filled. and the center empty. I'm not doing anything different than before. Any suggestions? These are both very frustrating.
If you're using pipe tobacco, make sure the cut isn't too long and that the tobacco isn't too moist. Either of these can cause those issues. Usually the problems you are experiencing are due to the tobacco kind of "balling up" while being injected into the tube. The problems that usually cause that issue is either the tobacco being too long or too moist. It's not injecting "smoothly" so to speak. That's the first things I would address. If not, then it is possible that the machine you received is defective.
I didn't have any luck with the 100's being filled properly but I just thought of something that filled my kings way better (I'll try the 100's later)..I have a small grinder that I used eons ago (that's all I'll say about that😆) so decided to grind my tobacco and it worked MUCH better!!
Just got mine today. Push button and it gets the tobacco ready, but then I have to hit the button again for it to push it into the tube. Even after cleaning it out, still does the same... First 3 cigarettes worked perfect, but now it constantly has this issue.
Haven’t heard of that issue really happening. You should only have to push the button once for it to load the tobacco and then inject all at once. If you bought the machine new then it still has its one year warranty. I would contact the manufacturer and see if they have heard of this issue and what to do about it.
Yes it's a great machine! Try adjusting the density meter all the way up. The higher the density adjusting the more tobacco it will inject. Also, make sure that the tobacco is not too long of a cut or too moist. If its too long or moist it can cause it to not fill all the way.
Could you tell me how many watts this machine is? I live in Danmark and I will need to use one of my step down converters, converter needs to be at least 50 watts higher than the appliance your running. Thanks!
The machine we have lists 25 watts on the back/bottom of the machine. Check the back/bottom of your machine for this information to verify. Thanks for watching!
If you're having an issue with the tobacco it will be one of two things causing the issue. Either the cut is too long or the tobacco is too moist. Both of these situations can cause problems with the tobacco injecting into the tube properly. If the tobacco is too moist then let it sit out and dry out for a while. If it's too long of a cut then use a tobacco shredder to make it just a little bit finer of a cut. Just don't go too crazy and make it too fine of a cut.
Thanks for the tips. In fact, I did shred and dry the tobacco. It got worse. It was jamming all the time. So I am returning the machine. I was looking forward to the Powermatic, but it was a disappointment, at least in my case.@@CuriouslyDark
I tried powermatics a few years ago. Total crap, always jamming (at least one jam every 10 cigarettes), etc. had one locked up solid and the plunger would not retract. Sent it in under warranty and they sent me a new machine, it jammed up and wouldn’t work after about 200 cigarettes. Gave up on powermatic. Bought a new, much less expensive brand machine and as of today the counter shows just over 20,000 cycles and not a single jam. Hopefully (for the price) powermatic is building machines that work without all the issues.
I have now purchased 2 of these darn things and have had the SAME problems with both. I got them from 2 different places (1 from Amazon and 1 locally). How can this be?? What am I doing wrong. I followed the directions. HELP!!!!!!!!
@@CuriouslyDark I think I got it figured out. The instructions aren't very clear and it took some trial and error to figure it out. It doesn't tell you to make it as loose as possible. When the "HOPPER" like comes on it needs to be loosen again because it's gotten "balled" up from packing. Since I've gotten this all figured out, I absolutely LOVE this machine!
Have done over 200,000 cigs with the powermatic 3 with very little problems. I got the 3+ and in my opening is inferior to the 3. 20,000 cigs and it been bad from the start mainly with the packing. I use it for the 200mm tubes and with the highest packing available it will not fill the tube all the way up which creates a fire hazard. When it does fill all the was up the tobacco is very loosely packed and smoke very fast. I hope the powermatic 3 is still being made. 🤷🏻♂️
Make sure the tobacco you are using isn't too moist or too long of a cut. That can cause it to ball up inside the injector tube where the spoon feeds through. Too moist or too long of a cut will not allow it to inject as smoothly as it should and possibly jam. Be sure to check and make sure the injector tube with the injector spoon isn't clogged. This is frequently the cause of a jam. If it is clogged then use a cleaning tool or something long and skinny to unclog it and you should be good to go.
I'm assuming this machine will roll the pipe tobacco we use for cigarettes. Like 1lb bag "GoodStuff" tobacco. Says pipe tobacco, but really it's for cigarettes. Just not super fine like the more expensive "cigarette tobacco.
Yes, it will use the pipe tobacco that people use for cigarettes. Just make sure it’s not too long of a cut and not too moist. This is pretty much what everyone uses.
The density meter has nothing to do with the length just how tightly the cigarette is packed. The top setting packs them too tight for me the bottom setting is too loose the center setting is just right I roll 100's.
