Great video . I love all the videos that have older atvs . Not everyone can but buy a $15000-$18000 can am . And it also brings back memories for people . Keep the great videos coming.
With the old quad runner, make sure your exhaust doesn't have any hole and make sure your vent lines are just as high as your intake. With mine I've gone threw some pretty deep water, all the to the snorkel
Just a nice heads up for the sportsman.. can take it as younwant but every single start up flick your throttle. Can lobs get wrecked from the first 20 seconds of run time because 0 oil pressure. Wrecked my scrambler once and that’s what home town Polaris recommends!
thats interesting, the cam lobes actually should sit in a puddle of oil...for that very reason. dry starts usually arent an issue for todays engines and oils byt i see what ya mean. cheers! and thanks for watching!
On the non H.O they need that boost. Like My scrambler I noticed a lack of power one day and then a lot of backfiring. Diagnosed Cam Lob failure. D&E our Polaris shop in hometown Roseau recommended that.. 🤷🏼♂️ just followed what they said and zero failure as of like 13 years
And that's why I don't use ratchet straps on bikes lol but if u do u gotta leave slack in the line before u start cranking it down so it will wrap the strap more and hold better
For the rubber plug, if you put it the other side around, with the larger side down, when water pressure push it up, it will seal better instead of trying to come out.
Just wondering about that Sportsman, do you keep in in 4low for towing that trailer and do you have any problems with over heating? I just bought my first ATV and I got a 4x6 trailer and was thinking of doing a tour like that.
I still have my 1985 250SX Honda trike like buddy's in the video. Bought mine brand new when i was 16. My exhaust is still stock and quiet. I put a primer on it though and it starts even in cold weather with one kick.

Thats a lot of loading and unloading of equipment and gear. But after you get where your going itll all be worth it. Id like to do this with my friends to get away for a weekend/ week from the wifes. Lol. 😂🤣😂👍👍
