In this video I will show you how to use PowerShell to compare two Excel Spreadsheets and highlight the differences between them.

When you have the first file and that has a number of rows and you have a second file with the same rows, but a row less then the first one. Is there a way then to highlight these rows in the first file that are missing in the second file? I tried to reverse the highlighting and put workbook1 for highlighting but that doesn't work because the change has not be done in the first file.

If we add 2 rows in between of Sheet2 at row10, row16, would like to highlight the missed out row - when it compares with Sheet1. Could you please help on this..!

Hi, thanks for the contribution. I have a question. If I add something in between row 14/15, the script will highlight everything from 15 and below. Is there a way to modify the script to accommodate the changes? I don't know in which row the data will be inserted, but I need to be able to identify the changes. Thank you,
