Powerslide Next Noir 125 First Impressions and Review - Urban Inline Skates

It is worth to note that apart from looks, new liner is the only thing that separates these from previous editions of Next 125 mm skates. Reaction liners will be available separately, too. I own Next Charcoal 110 which also comes with it and these are the best stock liners I have ever used. Powerslide are not kidding when they say that Reaction was designed specifically for Next shells - it shows. It simply works much better with it than Recall one, which was already pretty decent. I haven't even heat-molded, not to mention fully break-in mine yet and they fit me so good out of the box that I don't get that "new skates" pain at all. On another note, Powerslide were doing dual-colour shells in the past. For example, USD Throne Classic Lomax III used this, but for a more subtle, wood-like effect. Some tips: 1) The stock insole does have really pronounced arch support. Some people may want to replace it with something flatter. 2) If there's a need for more room or you feel pain, you can try taking out shockk absorber. Skate is made to allow for its removal and using it this way. 3) Absolutely use a second, shorter set of laces for the liner, do not lace it together with a shell. You'll get better support this way, prevent tongue from moving (it will be pressed against your shin firmly) and will be allow to lace the shell just below top pair of eyelets, which gives excellent heel lock. I always lace my Next this way and do not use 45 degrees buckles, put Aeon velcro straps instead. 4) Stock laces aren't bad in these higher end Next models, they are even waxed, but the best fit for this boot are waxed hockey laces made by Bauer or CCM. Less stretchy, grip better, give more solid feel to the skate. 5) Spinners are actually a bit on the hard side for a wheel of this size, so once you are done with them (they are decent overall, so skate them) you may consider getting something softer. If you do not care that much about slides and want something for smoother and faster ride with plenty of grip, Matter Image F1/86A 125 mm is a very good choice, it even does have pretty strong core for a speedskating wheel. Undercover RAW 86A 125 mm is also a good choice.

Hope Powerslide will start selling these dual colour boots without frame as well. I need some. Also; that court, what a spot to skate!

I got a pair of these skates when they first came out to get back into skating having to relearn everything it will be worth it I have been trying to show people/kids you do not need a car to get around town I have been commuting by bicycle once I get better will be commuting on skates

Jan Welch jelly.. I wanna see someone drop a 12ft vert on these and see just how much momentum they pick up. Wouldn't be surprised if they air out of the other side and end up on the ground 20ft away:)

i have the same issue with the top buckle not being difficult to get tight enough.

i wear a 11-11.5 and the website i bought these from said to buy a size up from shoe size cuz they run small. hope i made the right move!

How is the arch of the foot after a few skating sessions? I was wondering because I got the Next SL 80, but maybe I'm just too new to skating :D Great videos, love them!

They look so good, sadly they don't work for my feet. Also I didn't get on with the cuff, it was a bit too oval for me but I have heard the 908 cuff is a good fit/upgrade for these. Here's hoping USD releases some aggressive skates with two Tone colour-ways.

I'm on seba trix (not sure which model but it's the 80 4wheel setup with carbon fiber). Have 3 pressure spots on both feet that have never felt at home in any skates, admittedly I do not know how any tricks. I'm not sure how to class myself but I have been skating at medium speed without brakes, can do basic urban skating but without being able to hop. I enjoy just some basic rolling around in skates. Do you think 125s in 3 wheel setup is too crazy for me to switch to? Speed isn't important to me. Flat feet n bunions. 11cm across a 24cm long foot lol

I used to skate when I was a kid untill 12 or 13 and I'm getting back now. Got a pair of some good ones but something that always bugs me is the fact that although I'm more like a fat guy, my feet are skinny. And this makes me feel like wear a size of shoes that is in between. If I get one up, it's too big, if I get one down it's too tight and it won't fit. And my size always feel like they need to be just a bit tighter. The same happens with skates. Wearing thicker socks won't work, changing the insole won't work. It feels like it's around the feet, not beneath. And it seems those pair of Nexts with those liners, as people are talking about a lot, will solve my problem. Too bad I don't have anywhere close to try them on and I'm really afraid of getting them online. What do you think about it?

I haven’t had good luck with powerslide soft boots, it felt like they were very unbalanced, I think I’ll stick with FR’s. I tried one tens, and I was so terrible, it was so discouraging I change the frame out to 90s.

I wish i had narrow feets to fit on this skates. Whats too hard for piwerslude to do Next models for wide feets.

How is the fit of these compared to the 2022 Twister Xt?

Beautiful but awefull... So heavy set on your feet. I buy all new powerslides so i know them all. For speed, flexibility and light weight and free feet; Go with city swell 125!
