well, im coming from a long road of learning how to do dps on a mage and im so happy seeing someone playing it just the way learnt to. combustion on trinkets, never hit oozes till they die but rather switch to boss when they are at like 10/15% since you let your ignite tick otherwise is a huge dps loss for you and damage overall for raid if that stacked ignite wont get to tick. seen a lot of people hitting oozez on mages and even casting a fireball that will not land cuz the ooze would die before it does. one thing i want to try now tho is to not refresh lb under the effect of berserk and hero. idk if you use berserk on hero, but i do, i think its worth for that huge ignite stack, but i want to try to not refresh lb untill my berserk falls off and i go back to like 1,5/1,6 cast time on fireball. under berserk and hero i think its a dps loss refreshing lb (except lk and bpc). also, i ve noticed a thing with lb : if one of your lb dot ticks and its a crit but it ticks in the 2 second window in which ignite ticks, it will lower your ignite value. i ve noticed that by accident while practicing at dummy, but its a thing. if your ignite doesnt get to tick, but you get a crit from lb dot before your ignite ticks, it ll lower your damage value that you stacked on ignite. anyway, awesome blast!
this is an old vid & not the best gameplay (made a few mistakes) but yeh for the most part you're right about the intricacies & effectively doing dmg. as for doing lb under bl, it's worth & most importantly you'll still be able to get 4 casts in under the haste proc. not sure about the ignite thing tho haven't noticed that to be the case.
