If the PCP version of the cp2 does hit the market I'm sure they will do well providing the price is right.

Done it, now have a PP800 with long barrel and in my CP2 stock, I had to swop over the hammer spring end cap though, I am very pleased with the results in .177. running around 9ftlb and getting 100 shots, great informative video, thanks

Excellent video! Did so enjoy to see the interchangeability segment. Always into tuning airguns to more personal items. Personally not into match grade airguns but rather a replica enthusiast - but this was pretty neat.😊👍

As always very interesting presentation, very informative and very entertaining. It is probably one of my favorite channels on you tube and can't wait for another video. But watching these makes me sad cause you are limited to 12 foot pounds. Having no limits offers so much more fun. Keep up the great work. All the best from Serbian fan

I have been tinkering with my PP 800 and CP2 "building" a PP2 or PP802? And now when it is time for supper I have a look at my phone and lowe and behold, a recommendation from RU-vid, a video from AAR on air about the exact same thing that I've been tinkering with !?! 😮😁 How wierd is that? 😊

I've got the PP800 .22 and had it regulated with an altaros reg. It gave me 50 shots at 5.7 ft-lbr and 25 shots at 7.9 ft-lbr. (where I like it the most). This gun can be stripped in 5 minutes and is fun to set it up. I have the reg at 80 bar and just play around with different springs (still easy to change reg settings because the tube is so short that can change bars just with an electricians screwdriver, just empty it and unscrew the front cover). One thing to note: When regulated can be filled over 200 bars ( I pump it with 25 pumps up to 230 bar, no problem). I also plan to purchase the cp2 in .17 for the same reasons you mentioned. Excellent stock, interchangeability, additional spares just for the 150 Eur that the gun costs in my country, the additional barrels, silencer, calibre and CO2 option. The PP800 can be found in my country also at .25 and I've seen a guy set it up and shooting it at over 19ft-lbr (we have no power limitations in GR). This is a real capable project back pack airgun that I have no problem carry it in my short country site trips, fill it with a pump, accurately shoot it as a pistol up to 50 yrds.

@christosmavrommatis912
@christosmavrommatis912 4 года назад

@christosmavrommatis912
@christosmavrommatis912 4 года назад
Τα περισσότερα από τα tunning τα έχω δοκιμάσει (transfer port, new hammer, spring, reg, μου έμεινε μόνο το valve pin & valve spring για πειραματισμο-πάρε στο 6945 448281 αν έχεις απορίες, συνήθως μέχρι τις21:00

Great review Andy , I really do hope it will make it into production , it would be an excellent starter pcp as well as an competent close distance ratter .. would I buy one? HELL YES , will I buy one if it goes into production? NO ... I already have the FANTASTIC Artemis pp700 .. that truly is a fantastic pistol ( actually bought it because of your vid on it ) all i need is to get a stock addition after ive re-sealed it .. ( it was whacking out a considerable amount of power prior to me lowering it to legal limit , dont think that helped with the seals .. ) very good vid Andy , good old " down to earth " stuff , with AFFORDABLE content ... a lot ( and I there is a lot ) of reviewers out there are getting carried away these days with constant high end stuff .. gets on me tits a bit ... forgetting there roots id say ...

Update to my previous post, I went ahead and put the PP800 action in my CP2 stock, works well, i've no real interest in pistols so I picked up a 2nd CP pistol grip and shoulder stock with a nice little Konus Sightpro Red Dot, so I ended up with a light weight PCP rifle and a CO2 carbine plinker, win win.

@jeffslade1892 2 года назад
I've kinda gone the other way and put the Zasdar CP1 pistol grip on the CP2. Unlike the PP800 this is almost interchangeable with some minor woodworking needed. It looks like your 'new' pistol. But I've fiddled with the CP2 a little bit, made it gas tight and getting up to 60 good shots per CO2. And if anything this increased velocity to 515fps 177 around 4.5 ft lb, not immense but more than enough for a target pistol. Tweaking it was to improve grouping not increase power, perhaps too much and can still be improved. Yes PCP can give you more power but without a regulator may not produce the tight grouping attainable with CO2. Yes CO2 is dependent on temperature but the pressure will remain constant in the valve body throughout the session, liquid CO2 vapour pressure, nominal 850psi. In stock form the CP2 rifle should produce almost 600fps 177, a little over 6 ft lb which is possibly inadequate. With a few minor tweaks 7-8 ft lb is doable, and reports from elsewhere pushing it to 750fps produce 10 ft lb and a good hunter. Although this does reduce shot count to only about 30 from typical 40+. Although relatively cheap the CP2 is very, very accurate. Good components perhaps let down a little by the factory assembly, and that can be sorted. The little Hawke is excellent on the pistol, and the rifle's rear plastic iron sight can be moved to the front breech to provide a crude co-witness; a blob of Blu-Tack replaces the height spring, I didn't want to do anything permanent or non-adjustable 😉

Further to my earlier post ..... I’ve got my PP800 from Spain - doesn’t have a UK flag on the side so I guess it’s full power. I don’t have a chrono but it makes the same dent in an oil drum at 15mtrs as my UK legal AirArms S410 carbine. On a practical note... I’ve put the PP800 workings into my CP2 stock - no problem. However... to put the CP2 guts into the wooden stock from the PP800 you need to take a 19mm auger an take out about 5 or 6 mm centered on the rear fixing screw hole of the PP800 stock. My CP2 doesn’t have the rear fixing screw but a lug that you need to make room for. I’ve only had chance to shoot off 2 magazines, but it seems awesome!

I just got one , I put an upgraded silencer to Weihrauch sport using 1/2” adapter and a hawke vantage 1X30 red dot , and a barrel band with rail for light , down the range at 15 yards the grouping is brilliant for the first 20 shots , am using the FAC version now am thinking of buying a CP2 to give me more options , powers great to for a pistol , chronoed at 1st shot charged at 205 bar = 11.24 ft/lb 2nd= 12.56 ft/lb 3rd = 13.21 4th= 13.89 5th = 14.21ft/lb , 6th = 14.06 7th= 13.62 , 8th 12.98 ft/lb 9th = 12.25ft/lb 10th 11. 81ft/lb by the time I got to shot 20 = 10.54 ft\ lb ,, and pistol needs refilling .. as you can see powers good but I think it could do with a regulator for good consistency , if I turned it into a rifle with barrel and the stock I would expect to reach 18 to 20 ft/lb of power , not bad for a PP800 pistol lol, As I live in the uk i understand uk laws ,as in 6ft/lb , but this pistol needs to be appreciated , love your channel , think you doing a great job , any cp2,s going cheap let me know . I have a CP2 and was already thinking of ways to mod it non intrusively for dual pcp/co2 operation, but maybe the best, most reliable and cheap way to do this id by also having a PP800. By the time I get all the things I need to pull it off I would be spending north of 100 Euro plus a hydraulic pump to actually test the safety before pressurizing the aftermarket components. Overall it is getting close to the price of a PP800 ... it might make better sense to have 2 guns, 4 magazines, 3 barrel, 2 silencers and zero tinkering.

Thank you for the review. Ok, you're right in saying the owner doesn't have to buy CO2. But how many CO2 cartridges can be bought for the $250 price of the unmentioned good hand pump? Around 250. 4: 48, in some of the PP800 .177 cal. magazines, the cylinder and exit hole don't line up exactly, but is fixable by carefully using a small rat tail file. This gun is the same as the Diana Chaser, which maintains the high quality. 6: 45, did you really make those shots without using a bench? 7: 35, another good example of bigger caliber not necessarily making more KE. It depends on the starting place. What interesting guns! Thanks again for showing.

The old 2240 C02 guns had a detachable stock. I wouldn't mind if Weihrauch built a stock for the HW44. I put a TLR-2 that I use on my G-29. Anyways, after watching the UK guys snipe rats and mice, I went outside at night on the ranch looking for some rats. PCP pistols are accurate nowadays. I shoot open sights, and routinely hit the Crossman metal squirrel paddle reset target at 40 yards. I shoot pistol alot on powder burners, so I like the HW44. It's deadly accurate. I've taken rabbit in the eye at 45-50 yards. The Hades 15.8gr work well in it, and 18.13gr JSB too. It will take Terminator H&N 16.36gr. Bigger budget item, but it has rails.

Great review and some clever swopping of parts. I would like to post a question on the PP700. Mine has a lot of up and down swivelling movement where the folding stock connects to the grip. How can one reduce or remove this movement?

Liked the idea of trying one of these to upgrade my cp2, bought the pp800r version which is new and supposed to be regulated. I had high hopes but was disappointed, the regulation was terrible, I got one shot of good power then the velocity dropped and just kept dropping through the charge. Went from 5.6 ftl to 2.8 ftlb over 40 shots. Long story short managed to get it replaced with a pp700sa and what a better gun. A far more serious, quality gun which holds pretty consistent velocity all the way through. Single shot but still the gun to go for!!!

so is the pp800r the same as the pp800 just regulated as i want to go down the cp2 route

@@neilp9434 I've not owned the standard pp800 but I reckon the pp800r version I owned briefly was not regulated so no different. The cp2 is not regulated either but is about £ 100 cheaper than 800's and comes with long barrel and 2 mags. Best imo with the long barrel, they're a fun gun and prob one of the best c02 guns going for the money. They are accurate and go well with a small scope for a bit of pest control if needed.

Are these basically Diana bandit and chaser? I talked with Tyrone Mclaren and he said Bandit and chaser are not interchangeable, because the screws are different

Theres a company on ebay selling aftermarket magazines. No put pellets in backwards. Easier to use. Also have a 14 pellet one. Waiting for mine to arrive

Is the air cylinder 40ccs or 50ccs? I’m turning mine into a FAC Carbine thanks to your idea. I have the Diana Bandit .22 and it is a tack driver to 30-40 yards. With the longer barrel…it’s velocity and shot count should improve and still be able to be thrown in a backpack.👍 I’m think of regulating it but haven’t yet since I will never shoot it past 40-50 yards with 16 grain pellets. Still…it’s you fault that I’m getting nagged at for wanting to buy the Diana Chaser Carbine kit just to convert my Bandit into a Carbine. Thanks a lot for a couple nights on the couch my friend.🤣🥴🤣😂😉💯

Hi Andy. Great review as ever. You say it has '80 useable shots', and 'runs close to UK limit'. How many shots did you chrono at that power? I got different results: With light pellets (7.2gr), from 200bar fill, I'm getting a steady decline from ~5ftlb (550fps), to below 4ftlb (500) within just 20 shots. Then 2.8ftlb (420) by shot 60 and 1.9ftlb by shot 80. Granted all likely would be a touch higher power with heavier pellets, but still a serious steady decline from the first shot..
@ppeppe
@ppeppe 4 года назад
Forums suggest my results may be typical. Perhaps yours were different? Either way, I'm sure you'd agree in not wanting people without a chrono and unaware, attempting to use only 2ftlb for 'pest control' at any range..

Hi Andy. .. Im in Texas and iv got a question about the diana bandit and the rifle ..have you ever checked to see if the air cylinder off the rifle will go on the bandit. Ive done the change over from the chaser rifle and the bandit. More air volume is needed. Change the cylinder maybe? Thanks for your advice and support. .

Same cylinder diameter allright, but need to check if will fit into the stock (b/c of different trigger group, placement of attachment screw and pressure gauge underneath.)
