After 6 years of flying PPG I had my first paramotor related injury. Somehow I managed to twist my left riser before clipping in the carabiner. A dislocated shoulder and could not release myself from the harness without help.
jesus mate! glad you alright more or less. i am absolute terrified to fly alone for that exact reason. i even posted w video where the same thing happened to me with the twisted riser but i manages to make a turn right after launch and land. thanks for showing the mishaps as well. no shame in making a mistake. we all been there and others can learn. subbed!
Thx for your kind words 🙏. True that everyone make mistakes, and that you should try to learn from others instead of from your own. Specially when most accidents happens due to pilot error. I should know better after hundreds of take offs and not proceed when I felt that something was wrong. 🤔 Felt the wing was pulling left, also felt the brake on that side was stuck. Overcorrected way too much on the right side and the glider came over too quickly, it started to generate lift and I got light on my feet, slipped and lost my balance and made the whole thing even worse when I reflexively lowered my right arm and braked even more and it was game over 🫣. Easy to analyze all the mistakes I made when you have it on film in slowmo. More difficult in reality when everything goes so fast. But the point is to stop as soon as you feel something is wrong instead of hanging on and hoping it will work out, it often does, but not this time. Lesson learned.
Thx 🙏, and the message would be, preflight check better and don't be overconfident that it gonna be OK even if it doesn't feel right att take off. Abort in time instead of being stubborn, it gonna bite you in the long run.
Jo, blir inte av lika ofta om man skall ha sällskap varje gång, fast ibland tvärtom också, man sporrar varandra att flyga. Hoppas vara back in business i mitten av maj 🤞
Thx bro 🙏. I plan to do my first flight this weekend, shoulder still hurts, but I think it is good enough for flying. Good you are back again and winning your battles. Was hoping to see more of your great videos. You made a super fine video when learning to fly a few years back, great voice and editing skills. Didn't see a sequel on that one or did I miss it ? You are a very talented 👌. Continue to make more of that kind, it would be very appreciated 👍.
@@EliassonAnders so happy to hear that you are on the path of speedy recovery. @britishnomad , glad you'll pick up flying again, the greatest of all sports. Plan to do a trip through Norway this summer, but if we visit Skåne I'll keep in touch. Fly safe 🪂
God bedring.
🤣 he he, nä det var inte mysigt, första gången för mig, ingen rolig upplevelse det åket. Det gäller att hålla koll på sina prios, alltid vänd mot kameran, no matter what’s happening 😉
