No, what people (game developers) often get wrong about the ppsh is the recoil. The ppsh-41 is the easiest submachine gun to hold on target i've tried. The high rate of fire is like a continous push like a water hose/pressure washer which makes holding it in place very easy. Take an mp-40 forexample, its harder to keep on target because of the slow rate of fire, it makes it shake around in your hands making it harder to keep control.

Devs gave the PPSh more recoil for balance purposes, due to the high rate of fire and, specially, if they are using 71 round drums. The PPSh is highly inspired on the finnish Suomi KP31, but more cheaper and easier to manufacture. The Suomi is even easier to control due to being heavier, and that is has a very effective muzzle brake. Later on the war the finnish adopted the KP44, which is, pretty much, a PPS-43 in 9mm Luger and that uses KP-31 magazines (drums, sticks and coffins), but it shakes more in your hands, thus is not as easy to keep the sights on target as the KP31. With the MP40, the stock is kinda crummy and, it's at an angle, not as much as a Thompson. The M3 Greasegun is better, while very creap, it has very low rate of fire, and the stock is parallel to the barrel axis and a bit closer to it. That equals less muzzle climb.

It isn't actually, the only thing the russians took from the finns and used on the ppsh was the drum mag. Watch ''Forgotten Weapons'' video on the ppsh for more info about it. The PPD 40 is inspired by the suomi, go on google and look up pics of the Suomi and PPD 40 and you'll see.

LESTER THE MOLESTER yes I know its fun... I played a couple of full player matches on the bridge map one but eventually everyone leaves. Its like the Arica Harbor of BC2. I can't just invest much time due to the lack of players. Its doesn't feel like a BF game with 4 players on 1 server.
