LOOK GREAT - WOULD LOVE ONE BUT 20 Gs is waaayyy beyond me and cant see ever justifying 20 grand to work on cars or anything else unless making $1000 an hour
20k give me a break . 1500 would be max but 20k if u buy one company will be bankrupt and gone when u need ur chair fixed bc only a few idiots would ever buy them at that price
I dont understand how they thought building this at 20k or even12k was a idea that they came up with and followed through with. Its like they are making the few that bought them pay for their research and development and equipment to manufacture them. Why does it need aircraft aluminum and fancy metals its a chair. You can buy a car for this price. Its a couple hydraulics and some levers. Crazy smart and crazy stupid all in the same moment.
AMAZING!!! A true answer to my workflow prayers and dreams. For years I always swap out my office chair casters for the smooth rollerblade style wheels that are available. The ability to effortlessly glide across the room with a mere flick of the wrist or ankle quickly becomes second nature. That magic feeling of flying never gets old for me. This would bring my game to a whole new level. Garage goals!🤓
That is a sweet, well thought out design. I would suggest that if you do design for the consumer/small shop market, use a good caster system. DIY/small shops do not have perfectly smooth floors. There are extension cords. stones, rougher terrain. You might want to consider a modular design. Swap some parts around to make it for doctors. other parts for handyman, small shops, gaming, or mobile impaired. PS: I grow up in Bay City. Go Garber!
Great idea, problem is cost. $19,900 ouch, NOW that's painful. I can just spend $3000 on a overhead lift and use a regular wheelchair under a car. Looking like batteries need to be charged regularly just like a EV vehicle or you'll be stranded 😳
Hey, why not use m18 batteries? More ability for consumers to access the primary power source and create some recognition to what your product is using for power? Allot harder to justify the use of a tool if you can find the batteries for it.

I think this is bad ass, but I can't see this anywhere but in the aerospace industry, maybe modified could be an interactive gaming chair but for the price of a sensible car, it's not cost effective.
Thank you for your interest in Personal Positioning Technologies' Human Hoist Chair. This is an industrial grad tool currently being used by many large equipment manufacturers, including Boeing, Mack Truck, John Deere, Case New Holland, US Army, and others. Although this model may seem cost prohibitive, we are currently in the design stage for a model will better fit the small mechanic/consumer market, both in design and in price. To learn more about the Human Hoist, please visit us at: humanhoist.com. We are continuously making new information available as we make innovative strides both within our current and future markets.
@@personalpositioningtechnol1287 niiice! you know, a lot of people work on their vehicles these days, mostly because the state of the ridiculousness of the automotive industry these days, i'll bet if you made an affordable version for the everyday person there would be a demand, without a doubt. Love the chair though!!! to me, 20 isnt bad though, because mechanics spend that on tools and boxes etc. it's an investment for sure and a great one if you have injuries and don't get around as well
@Matthew Parlier , thank you for your positive comments and insights into what we plan to be, one of our largest future markets. We are also exploring the ergonomics value of this chair within the medical field. Our hope is that someday, Doctors will be able to prescribe the Human Hoist Chair to not only get injured workers back to work sooner but prevent the injuries in the first place. We agree with your comment on the Human Hoist being an investment. We believe it is the last industrial grade tool of its kind, that any user will ever have to purchase!

Hi there, This chair is incredible and the engineering behind it is world class, but what demographic is it trying to target? If you have to move it manually with your legs I feel like that might defeat the purpose a little bit? I am currently a third year student and we have been tasked with creating something similar but for people that have limited mobility in their legs, due to an accident or illness that restricts their movement. So, I was wondering if there would be any chance that I could have a chat to someone who helped manufacture this product to see what we should focus on primarily. Thanks.
Good Morning, Mitchell. Great to see your interest in the Human Hoist Power Shop Chair. The model in this video is our flagship model, which works best for large equipment manufacturers where it's not feasible to bring the work to the worker. What we specialize in at Personal Positioning Technologies is bringing the worker to the work. We have 2 new products this year, and one of them it the fully mobile version of the Power Shop Chair. I will leave a link below that highlights the new products, where you can get a sneak peak at the mobile version towards the end of the video. personalpositioningtechnologies.com/
This is freaking amazing... I'm curious did you guys also try carbon fiber? maybe if you could print out the pieces you could cut the price down & make it where normal people can actually afford to buy it? Because... I think this thing is very innovative, but if not many can afford it, it'll do like every other awesome product, disappear into the ether of history. To give an example of what I mean... I recently stumbled across this product: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w3VQB7dTFoM.html A motorcycle you ask? yes! But look at how the suspension was built..& the fact it was built out of carbon fiber.. when it was a new tech right (1985?)? Anyways long story short, it was an awesome motorcycle, it kicked butt, had a great power to weight ratio & I'm just now hearing about it after they no longer make it, b/c it died to history.. even though it was a great product it never caught on. I'm JUST NOW hearing about your product, & its been out for apparently a few years.. well again if no one, who actually works on vehicles can afford one, its a moot point. If you want to make money off rich people with more money than sense... make some units that are customized with like brass or something, or gold plated.. charge a premium while us normal mortals can buy one that's more affordable? It's a great product...but again.. its astronomical price point for what you get. Honda manufacturing makes a motorcycle for 6000 dollars.. world wide shipping. Quality, that will last. Honda is respected for that.. Look at all the manufacturing and stuff that goes into one of these motorcycles. How many moving parts there are? AND IT STILL COMES in at an affordable price. Anyways.. here's hoping I hit the jackpot so I can afford one of these.
