No you don’t need a university degree. Although if you have a higher education, it will help you get more points but PEQ just like the name says, it’s more experience and language that matters.

Hello. Thanks for the video. I am applying for the PEQ travail, but I don't have a CAQ, once I studied in another province and only worked in Quebec with the PGWP. Do you know if the CAQ is an obligation in my case? I don't see anywhere saying I need it if I don't have one, but at the same time it's one of the documents they ask. But I am just not sure if it is only for those who have one, or for everybody that wants to apply for the program.
@thefrenchdesi

Hi Ruben, no you don’t need CAQ if you apply through temporary foreign skill worker program. You will need it only if you apply through Quebec graduate stream. Hope this helps. All the best!

Hello thank you for your comment. Welcome to Quebec :) The best stream for you to apply would be PEQ temporary foreign worker program. First of all please check if your job falls under the eligibility requirements. I think since you are the manager, it should be eligible but please validate online on government’s website. You will need to work at least 24 months in order to submit your application for this program. You won’t be eligible before that and you will need to demonstrate at least B2 level of spoken French. Hope this helps!

Hi, since you are coming in 2025 I would suggest to learn some basic French by which you can initiate a conversation publicly. If you can greet and maintain a decent level of conversation then it will be much easier for you to find opportunities here. If you have the right skill set then you dont have to worry about the job market. You will get a job regardless of the time period. All the best :)

I dont think so as long as you have completed the required number of years of experience. But dont quote me on this as I am not sure. It is always better to have a job while filing your PR but I haven’t heard from anyone that they need to be employed at the time of application.

Hi Himanshi you can apply through temporary skilled worker program once you have at least 2 years of experience. Remember that these 2 years of experience must have been done in Quebec as Full time. Regarding your job position and sector, I would encourage you to check on the website if it falls under the category that they have classified TEER 0, A or B1, 2 or 3. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi Huma thank you for your comment. It depends on which stream you would be applying for PR. Regardless you will need at least 1 year of skilled work experience. If you are able to complete B2 level in 6-7 months I would suggest that you continue on studying French since it’s something you would be achieving in near future. Hey yes the work experience should be in Quebec. It doesn’t matter if you have 5-10 years of experience elsewhere. It has to be performed only in Quebec under teer 0 or A classification. It has to be full time (at least 36 hours) which you can only do after getting your pgwp. All the best!

Hello Im planning to take some French classes to get to the proficiency to do programs outside Montreal in French. I researched and found out if eligible then tuition can come down to 3000 CAD per year if I pass the criteria. Could you tell me if there would be any difference in certification value if I take a program in French compared to English in and outside Canada? Hope you reply to this. Loving your videos btw🎉
@thefrenchdesi
@thefrenchdesi Месяц назад
Hey Chris thank you for your support! I really appreciate that. 1+1 =2 hold the same in both French and English languages. Likewise, if you study a program in either language would be fine as long as you are getting the right knowledge. If you study your program in French, you will get the advantage to apply your PR through Quebec Graduate Stream and also in terms of job opportunities, you would be equipped with good French vocabulary. Other than that it does not really matter if you study in French or English. But I would suggest that if you have a good command in French, then go for French language program as you will benefit it from it a lot during your PR application.

@thefrenchdesi
@thefrenchdesi Месяц назад
Yes you need at least B1 level of written French and B2 of speaking but if you read the report on levels that qualify as level 5,6 and so on, it is very lengthy and does not give a clear answer on which level it corresponds to TEFAQ or TEF. Hence I would suggest to aim for B2 in both the modules to be on a safer side.
