Azadi Records are a new wave in Indian hip-hop, uniting diverse voices from various parts of the country. With artists such as Prabh Deep, Seedhe Maut, Ahmer, Tienas, and Swadesi, the label talks about issues of free speech, environmental crisis, growing up in India, identity, politics and Kashmir, amongst other things, in a host of languages including Hindi, English, Gujarati, Tamil, Kashmiri, Bengali, and more. VICE Meets Azadi Records during their 2-year anniversary tour to know how it all started, the diversity of their roster, and what this means for the hip-hop scene at large.
