Producers should also build and establish business relationships with Label A&R as they are the gateway of communication for future opportunities. I have the entire A&R directly that I get monthly for contacts. I highly recommend starting with Indepepent labels as Indie Labels are more open to working with new Producer's on projects to build some kind of leverage to establish your self as a Record Producer if you really want to be a serious Producer. Build relationships with Entertainment Attrorneys as many serve as an A&R connection as well. I recommand also getting in the studio with a local Artist in your local maket to get that studio experience learning how to full on produce entire finsihed songs with songs from top to bottom opposed to just sending beats out. There's so much more than just making a beat as a real Producer sees the whole thing all the way through that has that ear on the direction of the song.
