The MG Maestro Turbo at 7:48 was owned by my friend Martin's Dad before he passed away last year. Martin, his Dad, and that car were the focus of one of Johnny Smith's barn find episodes.

What an amazing event, thanks for covering it, Matt. You need one of those small lifts like underneath the Jowett. I loved the Mitsubishi Sapporo, imagine cruising in one of those in 79, windows down and some proper disco blasting 🤩🕺🏼💃🏼 My uncle had two of those traded in in the 80s, this old model and the later facelifted one. My cousin took me for a drive in the old one, it was a 2 litre, plenty of poke 😅

Many thanks for covering our stand at 5:23 . I’m under the Granada bolting up the three 10mm bolts on those front spots. The autojumble hailed a suitable relay!!. My XJ40 is on the end of our stand 🙂.

Seeing that 323 in the barn finds makes me feel old! I remember going to the dealer launch of those models with my parents when i was a teenager! Really tried my hardest to get my dad to buy the pop up headlight model but he was having none of it!

The Cadillac pick up, I believe might not be a conversion but a flower car, in the USA flower cars were used to transport the flowers to a funeral

As always, some amazing and rare vehicles on display. The "barn finds" are something else, especially the newer cars and the ones that have been out of commission for decades.

Some great stuff Matt. The Chrysler 180 was a great sight, an under appreciated car back in the day along with the 2 litre version. Tough competition though at the time with the evergreen MK1 Granada with some fantastic TV coverage in the 'Sweeny'. I think the 180 looked great and was well trimmed but the profile was maybe a tad too similar to the poverty market target Avenger that was also an underrated car up against the Cortina. Many thanks for sharing.

Great show Matt. I wish we have classic car shows like these here in Singapore. I would love to see them in South Korea too. Imagine K-pop stars like IU, Blackpink, BTS, Red Velvet etc driving vintage and classic cars. That would be nice.

I never realised Chris owned the black bluebird as well as the Mondeo, I knew he recently sold the Primera. That Green 75 that was going to be crushed was rather lovely looking, takes me back to when I owned mine. Really liked the look of the Mark 1 Focus, was the only one there as well. I do need another one in my life. The Escort Van was stunning, a nice colour as well. I did see the half naked Ladies Poster, it's amazing what we got away with back in the day! Brian the Million mile Volvo nearly.... Yup bought a few brochures from Pooks Books, mainly ford Escort/Orion Brouchures from a former dealer in Edinburgh, so it made sense to take home back to Edinburgh as the dealer no longer exists as the bank with the horse that I work for has a office on the site now..... A Great Show Report Matt, was a fantastic couple of days when we were down.

Different Chris owns the Bluebirds - I did Chris #1's Primera, and Chris #2's Bluebird. Lucky the 75 was diesel as it started on old fuel with a new battery, and thats what saved it!

Lancia Delta Integrale ❤️, plus I saw a Manta 400 by some hs Chevettes ! Beautiful 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍 and the 1960 Renault 10 was ,, "Geoff buys cars" ,,, car !

0:20 I think that Commer looks very similar to 1 my father had in the early 60s, I believe his had window down the side though, someone in the family must have photos of it.

The V6 X19 belongs to my brother in law. Some serious time and work as gone in to that car. It is seriously quick and handles great. Every thing as been up graded to make it drive right. It is not a show car either. It get used and does serious miles. It has been driven to Turin and driven on the Fiat factory roof top test track.

Wow, that was an interesting show for sure. Such a shame You weren't able to film Tranants. Never knew about such an interest about FSO cars, even if they're extremely rare today. 1st and 2nd gen Taurus had police specs, but those had never popular back in the days because no BOF and v8🤷🏻‍♂️ Some of them have been donated to Belarus police units.

Another great show restoring going on lots and a Rootes Group well represented lastly the Popbangcolours Vauxhaul Civet which are made by Isuzu in Australia these were the Holden Gemini a very popular car in Australia of course people bought Japanese cars but a Japanese car with a Holden badge went over very well in Australia also there was a diesel engined Gemini available over the years l have driven many Isuzu trucks and l found them very good to drive and owned a Holden Rodeo which was another Isuzu with a Holden badge reasonably common even today and they still sell lsuzus in Australia 4X4 SUVs utes both 4X4 and rear wheel drive and that Vauxhaul Frontere that is another Isuzu built vehicle sold as the Holden Frontier in Australia

The '51-ish Cadillac is a flower car, not a pick up. Although, you could be forgiven for not knowing; we don't have flower cars here.

I didnt bother going this year, as the past 2 years its been 80% fords and nothing else. Plus 1 million trade stands trying to sell spanners and sockets.

Fords missed a trick when the focus came out by discontinuing the escort van. If they had built a focus van then that would have been a sure fire hit. Even though im ex ford employee some of the ideas which where put forward by workers on the floor where never taken up. Lots of design tweeks where taken and used in production but no acknowledgement was passed back.

They were built under licence as well and theres some very similar rivals, hard to be sure what it actually is without checking

@deheerdeheer I probably know better than you how it works. RU-vid has recently increased the length and quantity of ads. The ads annoy me. I'm not that desperate to watch RU-vid to pay a subscription.
