Wherein we find that the boot we wanted was already around when we bought the other boots that we thought would suffice.
I don't know who had the original design patent for this style, if any, but clearly they came from some vintage model inspiration same as those other ones I showed in previous vid.
I did order half size down from other boots as recommended, so a Thorogood 7 would be a 6.5 in these or Thursday Captain. Your results may vary. I think these cost about a hundred bucks MORE than the Thorogoods, though. Informed consumerism and all that.
