Yes, the portable folding solar panels are at least 3x's the price of the renogy that you have, wise choice if you have the strength to lift it. I like your van !
Thank you for watching. The Portable solar panel is 15 lbs, heavier than those foldable light weight solar panels. But those light weight panels get blow off by wind easily and durability is questionable.
:) THANK YOU MUCH! Well done and great ideas!! I have added most to my wish list, and may have to save for cargo box first.. Safe travels and if you ever get to WA state :) Cheers! !
Hi! I truly appreciate your voice and the description as to WHY you choose your ITEMS.🌸 It helps me make better choices for my 2017 Honda Pilot that I'm working on. KEEP your videos coming, I watch ALOT of vanbuild videos. What do you like to do when not in your beautiful van? O also Germ Steps are the best companions for travelling. Do you not agree? Lol.I miss my Casey girl . She was a rescue and had only 3 legs, but she ran after tennis balls as fast as any other dogs at the dog park. Thank you so very much for sharing🚐
Yes, German Shepherd is best in class companion dog. They offer companionship, protection and guarding capability. They are very smart too. I don't stay in the camp during the day, mostly hiking. That's the reason why my van build is focus on practicality. If I change to full time living, I will get a bigger van for sure. Thank you for watching.
I installed a metal handle and almost burned my hand after just 10 minutes under the sun. LOL. Metal is a good conductance material and gets hot very fast under the sun. Wood is OK but it takes up space and won't fit in the original box that came with the solar panel.
Very informative , ps you can use a cheap cooler and make it last a long time by drilling holes around the top perimeter and then use spray foam in the holes that will act as a expensive insulator.
Love your channel and have watched all of your videos. My wife and I travel across the country every year in our 2010 Sienna. My question is Jackery says not to charge and discharge the Jackery at the same time, yet I have seen in your previous videos you are solar charging your Jackery at the same time you are running your fridge of the Jackery. Have you experienced any issues with your Jackery while doing this? Thanks and God Bless.
Thank you. I don't see any issue charging and discharging at the same time. Besides, when my van is stationery, the Jackery is my only source of power. I also run my laptop from the Jackery as well. Thanks for bring this up, I'll check on this matter. Enjoy your trip and see you on the road.
