just found your channel. I dig your way of explaining. I would say consistent and grity even when feeling not improving as much. Cant wait for your video on picking
I didn't study psychology formally, but I'm interested in it and have learned a bit on my own. I like to know the how and why of things because i'm a bit of a nerd 😂but I also think it helps justify why you should use a particular method or not 🙂
@@OlicanaMusicGuitar It shows, I've viewed numerous lessons discussing similar guitar related topics and always feel I get a much deeper understanding of the particular topic after one of your lessons. You have a gift, may good karma lead you on your journey..
thank you so much for creating such high quality guitar videos! I've been busy trying your "chunking method" and I can already see how much it helps me!
Your last point is great - practice the things you can't do - reminds me of something I remember hearing Jerry Garcia say, and I won't claim this is a quote, but it went something like "when you're playing your best, you're probably almost failing" - brilliant - and it's great to hear you relecting that idea.
Thanks Olicana! Some very good reminders. I was kinda surprised that I actually DO some of these positive things. Practice can certainly be a chore at times. Strategies like yours sure come in handy. I think I'll make a list of ways to break through some of the obstacles. Nothing worse than getting caught up in negative thinking. Thanks again, Olicana. You're a terrific teacher!
My own experience practicing guitar. it’s a roller coaster with ups and downs lol..sometimes depressing, other times the most wonderful feeling when all the hard work finally pays off ..let me support your channel with a sub👍..cheers
Great advice-simple, an easy reminder, frequency, gaining rewards with simple steps are likely learned and remembered. Thank you for sharp tips ! I do this and gain a reward for a 60sec. by simply practicing a muscle memory lick or chord. Then put the guitar on it's stand ( next to my favourite chair) for the next time. Cheers, Dk.
