I’ve been watching this channel pretty much since the very beginning. He’s matured immensely as a player and has a truly textbook golf swing. In the clips played at 40%, his positions at various points in his golf swing really couldn’t be better. I particularly noticed how perfect his weight transfer is just before impact, and it really couldn’t be better. He holds the club on a perfect plane through the entirety of the swing, with all his clubs. All around just a very solid ball striker in all areas of his game. Keep up the great work!!
As an old pro who suffered severe back trouble in my 30s I am interested to know what advice these young men get from college concerning the modern swing and its effect on the spine. I am sure that they are very fit and do lots of stretching. Karl has a solid build, less likely to get back trouble than, say, Zalatoris who has already had problems at 24. I am worried for those with long, slim backs and favour the old-fashioned swings like Snead, Watson, Mickelson.
Hi Karl and Dad, can you tell me what’s you next seasons course of action, what tournaments etc., you’ll be entering please? Also, current ‘standings’. Thank you
Hi there. Karl just played the South Beach International which wrapped up yesterday where he finished T11. Nothing else until the 1st week of February when the first NCAA event commences in Hawaii. Hopefully Stanford go deep and win it again this year. Then, come summer he'll play all the "Elite Amateur Series" events (www.golfdigest.com/story/elite-amateur-golf-series-to-launch-in-2022-shake-up-mens-amateur-golf) followed by the US Amateur. Again, due to academic requirements, Karl will likely not play in European events other than possibly The Amateur.
Karl carries 305 as his stock drive with plenty in reserve. If the back of a bunker requires 310 to clear it, he ramps it up from 118 to 120 and clears it.
What another cool course this looks to be. Funky one... but id rather see a little course character than a track that is overly safe off the tee and boring. Make us think and plot around!!!
Looks can be deceiving. Players should only have been using Driver on the Par 5's and perhaps a couple of Par 4's on this course and those who chose arrogance over intelligence paid the price on the shorter Par 4's. Had Karl used his Driver less on those short Par 4's he would have had 2nd place at worst and challenged for the Win, but alas, a wise head on young shoulders was nowhere to be seen that week.
@@KarlGolf Younger players tend to have a more optimistic view of what shots they can pull off. Course discipline will come with experience, and with Karl’s work ethic and attitude, I’ve no doubt that he’ll be a future great.
