I saw a comment on one of GrandT’s videos for this line that said apparently one of the ways to save some time is to already be closing the doors just before the game actually asks you to, since they take like 5-10 seconds to close and if you wait until the game asks then you’re effectively already late. Also, once the doors are closed, go ahead and start moving while the objective switches, since that takes a couple of seconds as well.
I never thought a video of someone playing a train game properly could be entertaining, but I was wrong. Also, as a Glaswegian, I am impressed with the work that has gone into accurately recreating the stations and scenery, but half an hour in Glasgow with blue skies throughout? LIES.
It is the rain that builds character. If it weren't for the constant rain I'd argue scotch would have never occurred and that'd be a crime against humanity.
As a Glaswegian who likes accurate recreations, you may also be interested in the current series by GrandT - recreating Glasgow-Edinburgh on Transport Fever 2. He has started at the Glasgow end, and it's all looking rather nice so far...
@@papasmurfette007 Thanks for the recommendation. It looks like a hell of an undertaking. Impressed that he starts each build with just a heightmap and a rough sketch and by the end it's recognisably the station as I know it IRL.
28:20 you are actually slower than usain bolt! He tops at 44.72 km/h nearly 28 mph. it’s a good thing he is not on the business on running after slow trains for shaming them.
Colonel: Fact checkers are always good. Me: I challange you to make a joke out of one of the comments from your previous video as part of your intro, i.e. the part before the bombastic intro.
5:55 was my thought exactly when I saw it was up there on GrandT's video. I'm sure there is a good reason for it to be up there, but it still seems odd.
..."giganormous american freight efforts that are six and a half months long..." You've definitely got that dialed in. They definitely feel six and a half months long when they're creeping across that that grade crossing which is the only accessible crossing within 50 miles driving.
I’ve been waiting for The Colonel to play this since it came out. I’m typing this 30 seconds into the video. Will he actually get the train to move this time?
A race with yourself with the same train? Should work. For your reading pleasure......... "Limits of human speed - The record was 44.72 km/h (27.78 mph), measured between meter 60 and meter 80 of the 100 meters sprint of the World Championships in Berlin on 16 August 2009 by Usain Bolt. (Bolt's average speed over the course of this race was 37.58 km/h or 23.35 mph.)"
Sometimes. Don't ask me why, i gave up trying to apply reason to the english language years ago. Some of us brit's get a bit cranky about our cousins across the pond breaking it, but it was a bit knackered by the time they got to it.
Neighbour, you will be surprised to know we spell many things differently but I will not labour the point. Instead, I will send you a cheque so you may buy new tyres for your saloon car. I recognise you may paralysed but in our defence we do apologise for our difference in dialogue.
The noun is practice and the verb is to practise and I only remember it from advice being a noun and advise being a verb. So. Hmmm. I think cnl flr got it wrong, which is confusing you even further.
