Great review of a really beautiful and distinctive fragrance which I am growing to appreciate more and more. You are absolutely right about the importance of not overspraying this one: less is definitely more, and three sprays is about the sweet spot for me too. The Intense flanker is perhaps even better, imo.
*I BOUGHT THE AMBER POUR HOMME BACK IN 08 - FAST FORWARD TO 2022 IVE BOUGHT DECADENTS OF THE LHOMME AND CARBON (BOTH NICE) BUT SHADOWS OF A COMPOSITION COMPARED TO AMBER - SAFE TO SAY IVE BOUGHT ANOTHER BOTTLE LOOKING FORWARD TO USING ALOT THIS SPRING*
I love this scent from Prada, its a masterpiece and its worth owning (the best prada in my opinion). You're made a good Review, for that i must subscribe you.
I just bought it 2 days ago and to be honest it's totally amazing and the bottle itself is so unique and stylish. If I have to compare it then it has to be tom fords beau de jour. The best part of this fragrance is the dry down.
I've been wearing this perfume since 2008. I love it. I'm not sure I think it smells soapy, maybe my sense of smell is just weird, but I think it smells more dark and spicy than soapy --still soapy but more "dark" powdery spicy soap, maybe. It's a very "evening" fragrance, or so I think.
This stuff is straight fire. The opening isnt my favorite though. It smells amazing after 20 minutes though. The opening gives me barbershop floral vibes which arent that bad, but after it dries down for 20 minutes it smells like luxury soap and i love it
Have the original and as JF put it, smells like a £1000 a night hotel room, couldn’t agree more. Great for making a crisp suit a little more friendly and approachable.
Nice rounded review! Thank you! You said 50 ML you got for $35. Could you please share the SELLER where u got? I presume dollar is USD? I am based in USA
I'm looking forward to getting this one. Great video. Would you mind replying with your batch code so I can try to find a batch closest to the date of yours to match the great performance? Thanks!
Hi, thanks for the insightful review. I was wondering how would pour homme compare to lhomme? I have a bottle of prada lhomme and luna rossa carbon and was wondering if its worth getting amber pour homme too? Thanks!
How different is this from ADP essenza? Both are being described as barbershop/soapy style. Blind bought essenza due to your review by the way and now looking at this next.
I tested this out at sephora but couldent smell anything or people around me couldent either? Could it be maybe the tester is old or something was wrong with it?
It is a masterpiece, it smells familiar, but it's not, it smells like women perfume, but it's not, for me it doesn't smell like a soap, or I didn't smell that kind of soap yet, it is dense and unique, I like to sniff it from time to time, for me it's better than Intense version, and the best Prada that I know of.
I do not want to offend anyone and of course fragrance is very subjective, but I realised this kind of fragrances ( soapy ones) smells great and match black males the best ( I am female) it's weird to say that but I feel like it soften a bit their masculinity, and more spicy or aquatic perfumes suit the rest of ethnic group. I have tried hundreds of of fresh and spicy perfumes for my husband ( savage, blue Chanel, aqua di Gio Profumo, Hugo boss and so on) they just don't smell and look good on him. However Dior homme, 212, Burberry touch, Prada loona rosa and amber of course just are perfect for him. These are the ones he gets compliments all the time. I know it all about skin chemistry but I also think it's about our look and personality to match perfume well
It is a softer type of fragrance for sure. I know some raw masculine powerhouse-type fragrances, this is the opposite of that. I get the same "sensitive man" type vibe with Reflection Man, Penhaligon's Endymion and Eau De Cartier. I would also say Mont Blanc Individuel, Paco by Paco Rabanne and Versace The Dreamer, fit. If you like Amber Pour Homme I bet you will like most of these.
Yes you are correct. I can’t find the source but scientifically I read that A more masculine man should wear “Sweeter/light” fragrance and a more feminine man needs to do the opposite. It plays a GREAT part on how your perceived by others 💯
@@gooddaymate1171 Lucky I got it when I did. I think Prada Amber is a very nice fragrance although I think it leans slightly towards the feminine side. I also heard that Spicebomb Extreme has been discontinued and I'm noticing now that some retailers are beginning to sell out.
