My heart goes out to all the families that experienced losses in this tragic event.

I was in Prague in the summer. Such a tragedy as it seemed like the most peaceful city on Earth. These terrible people can appear anywhere 😢

What a sad day for my country. I can’t believe something like that just happened in my homeland and especially 3 days before Christmas. It’s just heartbreaking. Sending love and prayers to all victims, their families and friends.

May the people who were murdered rest in peace, and those injured have a speedy recovery

I'm from the Czech Republic, but I've had a home in England for many years❤️... My mother and other family are in the Czech Republic.. My heart is broken💔😭 and I can't even imagine the pain of those families before Christmas (the main Christmas day in the Czech Republic is the evening of December 24🎄) the shooter also shot his father ,and a few days before that he shot a 32-year-old man and his 2-month-old baby in the forest park😭..( the wife was at home with another child).. these days the police discovered a connection....🕯️ tomorrow there will be State mourning in the whole of the Czech Republic🇨🇿.. and a minute of silence, 12 Czech time (in the UK at 11am)🕯️😭💔❤️🙏 the Czech Republic is not a country where such things happen💔.. *Please,be kind to each other, love each other and take care of yourself!.. life is so fragile and short* ... xxxx❤️🙏🫂🎄

According to the police chief, the police had information that this student killed his father at 12:45 p.m. and that he was going to Prague for classes. Unfortunately, around 2:00 p.m., the police cleared out only the building where his optional lecture was to be held, not the building where the faculty's management resides and at the same time the oldest building of this philosophy faculty.

The building that the shooting took place in is a newer one, it was probably built in the 20s of the 20th century. The building built in the 14th century is not far though.
