Generally for small animals in zoos, predators aren't a huge issue as the zoo usually has a large fence surrounding the property with most of the anti-predator measures taken there. For birds of prey and such, they usually do not hang around the zoo during the day as they are shy and don't like being around a lot of people. At night animals are usually brought in or burrowing animals such as prairie dogs and meerkats take shelter underground so even at night predation is not a big issue.

I actually was lucky enough to work with the prairie dogs at a zoo and honestly they themselves protect from predators but occasionally a hawk may pick one up but it's rare

The Omaha zoo has their meerkat exibit indoors and outdoors. And birds of prey usually stay away from large crowds.

Oh I feel your pain, lately Nvidia has been giving me a hard time too, recording the wrong screen, not recording audio, recording not moving at all, just the same screen and you see my mouse move. It's horrible! Wonderful little build, love how you made a Prairie Dog habitat look great with all the little details. googling always gives you a pile of dirt as a habitat!

Pretty much nailed every prarie dog habitat in zoos lol most meerkat and prarie dog habitats are just a concrete bowl full of dirt and a few rocks and plants lol

Retired Zookeeper here! Prairie dogs along with other small species typically have a net over their habitat to ensure no predator's can get to them. When there is no net, they are usually fully capable of staying safe themselves. Anyway, human presents is usually enough to scare any predator's away.

Prairie dog's like having other animals interaction cause for mine they get along with American Bison and the Pronghorn Antelope and now a lot of my animals have babies

I absolutely love these guys… and this habitat too of course! I like how you keep your habitats simple, Savannah, but also maintain the realism factor that I enjoy and also build with in my mind. Just by watching this video, I’m gonna jump into the game and build a Prairie Dog habitat in my zoo tomorrow!

I know I'm coming to this seven months late, but the Brevard Zoo here in Melbourne, Florida has a meerkat hab that is topped by fine mesh screens. We do have red-tailed hawks. not to mention wildcats and feral cats, and a couple of species of eagle hereabouts, so predation by local predators is a risk.

This was such a neat little habitat. It may be a little plain but I think that's okay, and that sometimes we builders might end up doing a little to much, sometimes less is more.

Amazing little habitat... I wish I could just find the inspiration to get back to planet zoo because I've had a huge block... I've played alot more planet coaster thing recently but I really want to go to planet zoo again

A zoo in Denmark has a wild colony of praire dogs living in the buffalo enclosure. They escaped the enclosure made for them and it has been impossible to catch all of them, so now there lives an unknown amount of completely wild praire dogs in an enclosure they shouldn't be in 😅😅 Hopefully they stay there and don't venture further. I don't really understand how they are allowed to let them be 🤷‍♀️
