Prairie du Rocher Motion with Mattias Thedens - Devon’s Tune of the Day 096 

I’m joined by my friend, Norwegian fiddler Mattias Thedens of the awesome band Gangar, backstage at Tønder Festival for a special Tune of the Day! The tune is “Prairie du Rocher Motion” and though it’s considered old-time, it’s actually from a small historic French community in Illinois. It’s from Percy Clerc, a leader in Prairie du Rocher’s French community who led the Guiannee celebrations on New Year’s Eve, here’s more info about Percy:
