Prairie Warbler in Full Breeding Plumage 

Grasslands are an often overlooked birding spot. However, you never know what gems you may find. On this very warm mid-June morning, I saw prairie warblers, a clay-colored sparrow, field sparrows, a Henslow's sparrow, bobolinks and meadowlarks. The Saratoga National Historic Park (North of Albany, NY) is an important part of our nations history. The battles fought here were pivotal battles in the American Revolutionary War.
