I’m unable to describe the joy that it gives me to listen to these wonderful Sister and Elder Missionaries, to see their beautiful faces and to understand the message of Faith in Christ which they have in their hearts-as well as their willingness to get out into the world to share His message.
I remember my mission and I had a great experience. I served my mission over 20 years ago. May 1992- November 1993. I served in Ohio Cleveland Mission. I also participated in the Provo Missionary Training Center Choir and it was a great experience. #givethanks #Hearhim
I love how David is part of the choir and not the star. Being a missionary is exactly this--putting yourself off the spotlight to be part of a bigger cause than ourselves.
So many gave up, choice men. My own personal opinion it was the pressure. Being chased, tormented, torture. And being angry at other members. They left the church but never denied their testimonies. Joseph could of just said, Sorry the devil beguiled me. And he would of been safe. No more tar pushed down his mouth. No more being ripped from his bed, his family. No more being beaten or trying to keep the plates safe. People don’t use critical thinking to understand why would anyone go through what he did, and still never denounce it? No one has that much pride to keep a false story going.
We worship the Savior Jesus Christ. We praise Joseph Smith for never giving up. He was tarred and feathered 25 times I believe is the correct number. With tar being shoved in his mouth. He was ripped from family in the middle of the night to be beaten near death. He was chased because some wanted the gold from the plates. He put up with so much and not once did he denounce his testimony. Everything he did was in worship and love for the Savior. Christ restored His church through Joseph Smith and the early Saints. We can praise him, we do not worship him. There’s a big difference. Everything we do is in the name and for the Savior Jesus Christ. Our God.
This is amazing to hear these beautiful sing this wonderful Hymn of the prophet of the restoration. The spirit shines forth from these wonderful missionaries
To me, David Archuleta has set such a great example as a son of God. And his voice is like an angel, rich, warm and soothing, like the Holy Spirit singing into my heart and soul ! Thank you missionaries for your services !
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him." Psalm 28:7 "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34:1 "I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works." Psalm 9:1
One of the cameramen told me that they all knew where he was standing and were instructed to avoid any closeup shots of him until the very end. They didn't want people to be distracted from the music by seeing him on camera, so they saved it to that scripted final shot. Even then they didn't zoom in on him, they just panned past him. It came out exactly the way they wanted.
I am convinced that the happiest people on earth are those who serve others. It is my prayer that each of these missionaries hold to the rod and overcome the inticings of the world just as David Archuleta has done so brilliantly and stedfastly.
Only thing I could find here was dedicated Sons and Daughters singing A Hymn of the restoration with the power & Majesty of the spirit to teach and testify . when it comes to the question on the video title Nope. I couldn't find him. I'm not actually sure what he looks like either. so that probably didn't help any.
