You're a hero! that's 40 minutes that scammer was preoccupied and he couldn't talk to a more gullible computer user who might've actually given him money.
The same guy called me yesterday and I listened to him for a little and out of no where I just yelled PEANUY BUTTTA JELLY TIME!!!!! PEANUT BUTTA JELLY TIME!!!!! After I said "Have a beautiful day and good bye!! Please never call me again😄.. He hung up and my day went on
My husband and I like to drink when we get these calls at night. We make a game where we have to see how long we can keep them on the line. Whoever loses chugs a drink. 😂
Update: If the camera work bothers you, which I could understand, then don't watch it. Pestering me in the comments about it is a waste of time won't do anything about it anyways.
Hey Jordan: I'm not the least bit computer savvy but I've been able to avoid being scammed thanks in large part to people like you that post videos like this. Great job and a big thank you!!!!
+Ant Bud No, you have overall control so you can just exit before they do anything to your PC. I use it everyday as a computer technician to repair PC's, if users feel unsafe they can just Alt+F4 or click "END" before I do anything they feel is suspicious or they can disable my controls and I can guide them
+Joshua Ream Hahaha, good info! Im gonna try that next time I get one of these calls and tell them they have a hacker virus I can fix for "two, 99 dollars"! LMFAO
+Nick CS Teamview is a really good program for helping people out with problems but also doing other stuff like messing with your friends, just sucks people like these ruin it.
Sad thing is he is spewing repetitive insults in Hindi but they don't even affect you because they are meaningless to someone who doesn't understand it. He's desperately trying to throw insults to appease his ego. Judging by what he was saying, he was SEETHING inside. Great work! I'd say that was a mission accomplished!
I was in the doldrums and then I watched this video. Man, I can't stop laughing. You are a riot! Thank you for wasting their time. It's time they can't use to scam someone else.
"it'll come up with a beautiful lady on the screen" ... I almost burst out laughing, I love these guys, they tricked my mom into sending them 200 bucks. I then called them via skype, got their ip, tracked their ip, and well ... thanks to my friends 'connections' they now have a rat on their computer :)
+dlwatib Or maybe it's just too bad that the British influenced and conquered America. We could have spoken some other cool language like German, Spanish, or French.
This had my friends and I in tears. As tech people themselves- who work on PCs and Androids- they were dying. This was beautiful. We get so many calls like this just at the business.
Good for you 42 mins! There should be a competition on how long you can keep them on the line. Forget reality TV this is a lot more satisfying! This is a common scam, a relation of mine in the UK has been called several times. For us tech heads it's a time for a good lark but for old folks who barely know how to turn it on it can be a real problem.
LOL You are brilliant! Thoroughly enjoyed hearing them get a taste of their own medicine! I worked at a bank for and the amount of vulnerable people affected by these scammers (predominantly the elderly) was heart wrenching. I don't know how they sleep at night!
"L624" sent him into such a spin! I'm dying laughing, He is so upset, that he has to insult you in his native tongue! I almost pissed myself when he thought he was giving you the ultimate insult by saying "You can come clean my lower hairs!" ROTF You are awesome, Jordan!
I started laughing at 28:00 when you said, "What?" He was speaking Hindi (at least I think it is--it's a bit muffled) to somebody else in their scam call center and probably didn't realize you were on the line. How dumb can you get?!
Nae G Also, the swearing, "Madher Chod." I laughed out loud when I heard that. Salty little guy, isn't he? I always quote Bollywood movies at these people until they get too pissed to continue. Also, you can hear him talking to the other people in the call center at the end and they're laughing at you when you say you're gonna report them. Clearly the "I'm gonna report you cause you said mean words" part slipped right past them. XD That Notepad part, though. OMG. XD "Teeri Maa Ki Chut" means "your mother's"...I'm not gonna finish that one, LOL. "Behan ki luada," if I'm reading that correctly and he's made a typo, translates roughly to "your sister's penis." I can translate a lot of the words roughly, but because you don't want us to swear, I'm hesitant to post it here. I'm sorry, this was just too good.
Nae G I don't think this is really a high budget operation, they're probably using regular old landline telephones that don't even have a mute or hold function!
Nae G Yes.. he is quite the character.. The Notepad move was quite outrageous indeed.. I didn't see that coming.. Thanks for the translations.. I don't mind if people posts swears as the translations if that's what it says..
Nae G hahaha :D Kudos to Jordan these idiots should be treated like that. @ 28:00 the language is Urdu not Hindi... he is saying to someone " the customer is passing on time, he is pressing the keys on his keyboard which i can hear and still saying he is not doing anything. " what i cannot believe is that these people are so abusive and try to bully you.
Jordan U you must report this to 911 .... i am shocked these scammers must be fooling so many innocent people out there . Kudos irritating these people is the best way while on phone and then reporting it to 911 or better business.
At 28:06 he says "He's messing around, you know that right. [I] can clearly hear him pressing stuff on the keyboard." I am ashamed by the actions of these guys, who are from my country. The language is Hindi.
+Prashant Pandya Unlike Jordan U I get these calls that the claim to be Mircosoft and I know thats a lie because they would not have their number and name blocked.
Wow, ONE update from 'Windows' will provide a lifetime of protection for ANY computer you may buy sometimes.... :D Am I going to get updates updates from Win95. :D I actually remember Win 95. It keeps making that stupid sound, are you making that sound - LOL! Can you guys put more memory on there - YES, I really am laughing out loud. Sept. 4th, 1947, it just gets funnier and funnier. It should have been Amex... God, that was funny, you don`t need to reply to my comment, but know that I was laughing out loud many, many times during that call.
Jordan U Thank you for posting your video. I remember Win 95, XP, and MEand vista well. I prefer XP over Win 10. I'm only 40; am I officially 'old'? I don't want my office documents in the cloud, I have more than enough storage space to keep all my office documents on my PC or laptop, and I have numerous external hard drives to back them up. If shit is really crucial, I can burn it onto a disc. I guess I'm a Luddite.
jellyfishattack The oldest system I recall was Window XP.. I think that's what my first computer had.. I still use it to this day.. The Window 10 is seeming like a better alternative to the Window 8.. but neither are beating the ease of use and stability of Window XP in my opinion.. I feel the same way about cloud storage and things of that nature.. All my files are stored on a hard drive in my house, and important files are kept on an offline HD for backup and security purposes.. I don't see how a cloud can beat that..
Jordan U I remember the Commodore 64, back when you went to summer camps to learn how to program them - LOL; and I'm not that old either; still 25 years to go before I'm a senior citizen. I have a few XP PCs and an XP mini Acer. I prefer them to Win 7, but Win 7 didn't make too many changes. I don't like Win 8 or 10, and I don't trust that cloud storage baloney that seems to be the latest thing. I guess it's just another way to squeeze money out of people. It's not as though CDs or DVDs and 1TB external HDs are expensive - and it all stays in my house. No one can hack it and one day the cloud will be down for a period of time and it will cause problems for cloud users... and whatever happened to DVRs? I have one, the last refurb one in Canada for $90.00, and they sell like hotcakes in Japan, you can get one for $400.00, but all instructions and on screen menus seem to be in Japanese, but you can copy anything you record on a PVR onto a disc and keep it forever, although my model only records in SD, but my blu ray upgrades it, as much as it can, and it looks great, even on a non-upgrading DVD player. That's the end of my 'old person rant'.
jellyfishattack HDs are getting cheaper and cheaper,, far cheaper than cloud storage.. and as you noted they're secure.. have no monthly fees.. etc.. I've been using Window 10 for probably about a month now (I tried it only since I could get it for free).. For free, its not bad.. If I have to migrate away from Window XP due to compatibility reasons, I don't find this as a bad alternative.. Is it as good?.. no.. but its not all that far off given its modern.. especially compared to Window 8 (which I skipped over)
johnnyz101 Generally speaking.. Yes.. they can delete, modify, even copy over to their own computers, any files on the machine. In the particular instance seen in the video, they could not because the system they were working on wasn't physically running on my machine, it was an isolated virtual image I created specifically for this purpose that didn't contain any personal information or files.
This is both amazing and sad at the same time. Amazing because I love watching scammers get beaten at their own game, yet sad becuase I know this particular scam probably has tricked less computers-savvy people. A quick question though, why did you decide it was okay to allow them to remotely access your computer? You mentioned that you had computer background, could you have stopped any malicious actions they had the chance to take?
Shatter He had a virtual machine on there, therefore they were not on his actual computer, they were on a virtual machine, made for these types of situations, so he could have done anything he wanted to this guys computer, but it wouldnt have made a difference since it didn't have any of his personal info on there. I hope this made sense, i am bad at explaining things. lol.
Shatter The way I had it set up, my computer was at no risk regardless of what they did to it.. the operating system was running virtually, contained inside a piece of software separate from that of my physical operating system.
Brittany Heath You download a program called VirtualBox, which is the software I used in the video.. That part is free. but you need to get a Windows install CD and license code to install.. that part is not free.. I have been asked a number of times about how to use the VirtualBox and how to se it up, so I will probably be doing a tutorial video on it in the near future..
This was an absolute hilarious prank that you pulled on them. I didn’t expect them to start a notepad war after you gave them the false information that would trick them. Well done on this hilarious scam call, I look forward to more funny content like this.
He just can't get over the fact that he wasted so much time for nothing. Hats off man! And I loved it when he was pissed off and abusing in Hindi. LOL! Good job!
Brava!!!! Got to Love your software's and securities.....fyi mutter fuller now give me your real credit card number...so I can complete this session of stealing your money...bless the cows....LOL That was a classic. You are my new hero...!!!😏😏😄😄😆😆😎😉
+Scott Reece No he said "two, 99 dollars" .. I would have told him that is impossible as US currency does not currently have a 99 dollar bill. Would have taken him ages to figure out what I was talking about.
My mother kept one of these people on for a very long time, and he said well don't you have that button? To which she said "well, I guess it would help if I used Microsoft, i'm a Mac user, you idiot"
So much for the great customer service...can't believe the foul mouth on this guy and then to hang up on you. Tell him to get a real job, but I don't think they will call back and mess with you again. Well done.
ha ha ha... but seriously my neighbour almost got caught by guys like these a few weeks back, luckily he mentioned it to me by chance the next day after they'd called him and i checked his pc out and found they'd added remote software (not teamviewer, another one). Otherwise all they'd done is do a CCleaner scan and a Malwarebytes scan. He cancelled the "support contract" fees they were going to debit him in 3 days - they'd persuaded him to agree to a "one year support contract" - and luckily he didnt lose any money. BEWARE!! in his case they claimed to be from Microsoft and persuaded him by quoting him his pc serial number which they somehow had.
+dancetech It is easy to obtain the serial number though the Command Prompt with a simple line of code.. I've heard that they don't really do any damage to the computer, more so just things that aren't worth paying for.. Hope he really gets his money back..
+Jordan U yeah, i didn't look into what he meant, he just said "they had my computer serial number" & yes they didn't do any damage but the scam is to get the money for the years 'protection & support' isn't it, so they need to leave the pc working fine as far as the end-user is concerned.... Anyways he cancelled the 'payment' before it went through and also closed the papal account completely... but lucky for him we had that conversation. I just linked up to him with Teamviewer, removed the remote s/w they had left on his system, did a full scan with Malwarebytes & checked his startups etc etc, also i removed his norton which was about to expire in 3 days and put avast on for him & then did a boot-time scan with that & all was good... but that's the weird thing, that they called him just 3 days before his free norton s/w was set to expire. Kinda makes you wonder if someone is handing out norton 'free' account info to scammers.
+Jordan U also what i find weird is that this guy has been on one of those free "learn pc & the internet" lessons for the over 60's at his local library, and they dont seem to cover this scam stuff for noobs like him which they should. I would if i was running such a course.
dancetech Do they have any segment on computer safety, or is it just to how to use the basics of the computer? I would agree they should include some sort of safety precautions in that course..
He doesn’t have that type of money. It costs almost $300! Wow! Just wow! Scammers don’t use decimal points when they are giving out prices but he really doesn’t have that type of money
Haha that was so funny but your laptop has confused me it looks like a mac book but then it has a windows software so I'm really confused what kinda laptop do you have and if you have been working with laptops for ages what is your job and you are so funny couldn't stop laughing at this video
+ThePerkydude It is an Apple laptop.. but at the time it was running both OS X and Windows.. I have been working on computers for a while.. I work at a computer repair shop..
ThePerkydude I was using a software called VirtualBox.. which runs on OS X and allows you to run Windows inside OS X.. My enter button was working fine.. I just said that to make it more difficult for him to get me to navigate to the website..

MrIFUCKWAHABIS I refuse to dignify the ignorant dribble that you just typed. So stop replying to 3 month old comments and find something productive to do. Ight.
I have a small computer, branded with FBI logos and random public stuff from the US defense department, so every time they login, they will get a warning, that I now have their IP address and from that their location and that I have rerouted a drone their way ... Last time I could hear someone really panicking while he screamed, the US military know our location and they are going to bomb us, they more screaming and it sounded like they where running outside ... I was on they silent line 20 Min before I gave up waiting for them coming back ...
