This is such a great example of a sketch catering to a host's strengths. Walken was perfect for this sketch - his dark, deadpan delivery. It cracks me up every time!

Now and then this still pops up in my head almost 20 years later, specifically the "pranked him to death" line, lol.

I went to visit a buddy of mine - a manager at a grocery store - and a customer was giving him a hard time, and the situation was escalating pretty quickly. "Hey, GUYS!," I said, "Let's NOT be stiffley-stiffersons about WHATEVER this is." The customer looked at me - "YOU REMEMBER THAT SKIT??" And WOWEEE-ZOWWEEE!!!! The confrontation ended in laughter. Humor can solve everything!

I love how the mood went from wowie zowie zaniness to dark and solemn so quickly (at least for Seth).

The sound effect they played when Seth said a man just died had me rolling 🤣🤣🤣⚰️⚰️

The sound effects guy is back there calling the police and he keeps making the sound effects to keep Christopher Walken from getting violent while they're on their way. He's secretly the hero of the sketch. The host is going to owe him a big apology when he finds out.

Walken is hilarious! But seriously, what some people excuse as "pranks" are cruel and destructive. When I was pregnant, my husband's sister called to leave a message that she was one of my husband's students (at a university) and was pregnant with his baby, all in a disguised voice. Of course, she denied doing it. The effect on my husband and me was nothing but horror at her behavior. She thought it had made me "jealous" and, a few years ago, told a mutual friend that she'd pulled a great "prank" on me. So sick. She was the jealous one, of course, and apparently still doesn't know it.

I would've been disappointed if it didn't get dark with Christopher Walken doing a prank.
