Pratibha Ranta is on a golden run. With Laapata Ladies and Heeramandi, the young actress is the toast of the B-Town. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Avinash Pal, Pratibha talks about her journey from Himachal Pradesh to Mumbai. She discusses how other actresses from the hills - Kangana Ranaut, Shivya Pathania, Preity Zinta and Yami Gautam, inspired her, but she didn't get any opportunity to interact with her yet. Pratibha shares how she got the Laapataa Ladies, the casting process, how the idea of distributing posters of her film like Aamir Khan (Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak) came from. She elaborates the difference between Heeramandi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Laapataa Ladies director Kiran Rao, and how she was slapped gently by Sanjeeda in Heeramandi whereas she was slapped hard in Laapataa Ladies! Pratibha also responds to the trolling of Sharmin Sehgal, who played the role of Alamzeb in Heeramandi.

Full comments sections and social media influencers are fill with hate comments and bullying her,these are the same people who give lectures on mental health,her acting is not that bad,she performed it well,just people dont want to accept that kind of personality which they have not seen in real life,they wanted same dramatic expression from every heeramandi characters,when they even saw that all characters have different shades and different way of handling situation and reacting according to it.

Hating her for who she is never right and I will never stand by that but criticism is a whole another ball park. It's your preference if you related tohef acting but it's understandable if someone does not because there was no life in her craft for the most part. It is a drama to begin with, it's not a documentary. So expecting that life is not surprising at all. Idk If you observed her scenes, but it felt very choreographed. I wanted to see her in her role but all I could see was that textbook character in front of me. Having said so, the way people are going at her is a bit unnecessary. We should see how she improves in the next season. Moreover her media answers have also not helped her case as a professional. It's never about people liking her, it's only ever about being dedicated to your craft and people relates to that.

@@artwithsaya her acting is not that bad in that series,but her interwiews are not given properly by her,but people are not only criticizing,talking rubbish about her body,her career,it is called bulleying.People have right to criticize her for her acting but with some manners,but right now it feel like whole social media is unecessary trolling her by taking her each and every clips and making unecessay memes on her,they will create self doubt within her about her acting.

Body shaming and mindless trolling is despicable so that should stop. But justification should be on behalf of that, not of her performance.

No dude, she was expressionless indeed!! Just giving one example, rest you decide. When mallikajaan breaks in unexpectedly on eid to find alamzeb, mallikajan comes from behind, and at that moment she should have some expressions of shock and fear, but guess what- her face was absolutely flat!! In fact, in that whole scene, her face was flat - everyone perfomed that scene amazingly but her. This is just one example. She has done this in entire series.
