Pt DV Paluskar and Pt Vinaya Chandra Maudgalya (Bhaiji), both disciples of Pt Vinayakrao Patwardhan at Pune's Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, were very close friends.
For his first gramophone record, Pt Paluskar sang his friend's composition "koyaliya bole ambuva ki dalariya" in Raga Tilak Kamod. Following his Guru's instruction, Bhaiji established the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in New Delhi in 1939 and it became a home to Pt Paluskar as well as to many other musicians of the time.
This documentary was made as an offering in his friend's memory by Bhaiji, with Basheer Ali as producer, cinematographer and director.
