Hi Maria, at 23:13 I go over why it is not phonics. The question is talking about pictures and focuses on sounds. When the students are focusing on sounds, it’s phonemic awareness. The pictures may have one letter on them, but phonics is when letters combine and have a relationship. Phonics is letter-sound relationships. Also, when a question on the test zeros in on sounds, the answer is probably phonemic awareness. If you review the explanation at 23:13, I get into it even more. Thanks for watching.

It is similar, but it is not the same test. Our 5025 will help you, but it is specifically aligned to the 5025.

You can access it on any device. Just log into your account at lms.kathleenjasper.com, and you can access it anywhere as long as you have wifi. You can print the study guide or any handouts that come with it. I do not recommend printing the entire study guide because that will waste ink. But many people print the practice test in the back of the book. Hope that helps, and have a great day.

It is difficult to determine how many you can miss because of the scoring system. As a general rule we recommend preparing to score a 75% or higher to pass. With 120 questions on this test, that would mean you could miss approximately 30. Thanks for watching.

Hi there, and thank you for watching. Yes, you have to take the Praxis Core. That is required for all teachers in the states that use that exam. Typically teacher have to take 3 exams: 1. Praxis Core 2. Your subject area exam (in your case it is the 5025) 3. the PLT. Hope that helps and have a great day.

Our go to rule is to get at least 75% of your questions correct which would mean answering 90 correct or only being allowed to get 30 wrong.

Make sure to check with your state/district requirements, but that does sound correct.

There is no exact number because of the scale score method ETS uses. However, my rule is you should be between a 75-80% correct to pass. If you are using practice tests, you should be scoring at least 75% to be ready for the exam.

Please check with your state. Every state is different. MA has its own assessments. I do not believe that they use Praxis.

There is no way to figure out your exact score. I would focus on getting at least a 75-80% correct on the practice tests.

@@KathleenJasperEdD thank you. New Jersey requires a 172 passing score in order to get licensed as a teacher that’s why I was curious.

I do not have a birth to kindergarten program yet. I hope to have programs for everything, but birth-K I do not currently have.
