PRAYER AS AN ANCHOR | PASTOR EMMANUEL IREN 

Half way through the sermon I have realized two mysteries, the first being the one thing the devil is after is my faith as a believer; he can use both prosperity and trials of life to attack my faith , and the second is I MUST MAKE UP MY MIND to follow Jesus through thick and thin it’s like the marriage vow “for better or for worse” and remembering that the sovereign hand of God is always upon me no matter what I may be going through.

Thank you so much, sir! This was so timely. I have been applying for jobs for the past 7 months here in Canada and it's been tough. This evening when it was my prayer time, I started crying. I will say distracted cause I started thinking about the rejections and unsuccessful interviews( I am the sister always telling people "it is well", "the lord will do it at his time", "you are feeling this way because you have not prayed" etc. Omo! at that point, I could tell that I needed those encouragements more. I was asking myself how come when job opportunities come I don't get picked and others do. I felt like I have been praying and it's fruitless. I have been taught that prayer strengthens. I started praying for strength while listening to one of Pastor Victoria Orenze's ministration. I had to remind myself of God's mighty Love. Thanking him for all he has done. God is faithful in every phase of our life. Our devotion to him should not be based on what he can do for us or how convenient life is for us.

Prayer toughens your spirit. Prayer gives you audacity. I hear, sir!

When I started my work with christ in January the holy spirit told me that even if I look everything I own on it I shouldn't be afraid buy the only time I should be afraid is when I loose his spirit.
