I dont think No Water Fasting is safe, we can survive 40 days but with water

I want to pray for someone to have a breakthrough in their fasting with God and a generational life changer.

I’m about to fast for my first time and I just ask that someone pray that the spirit of God fill me. That I have the eyes and ears to witness Him. It’s been awhile since I have felt Him near me. Thank you

Fasting is DELIVERANCE! Im 55 married mom and enjoy listening to you girls and the wisdom you have. I did my first fast at 31. It is life changing. Prior to the fast I didn’t cook and I ate a lot of junk food. The first thing I was convicted after the fast was of was my poor eating habits and the Lord gave me a desire to cook and prepare healthy meals.🙌🏻

Going into my first fast today. my roommate/bestfriend who I use to party with before I was saved. has always been respectful of my change and relationship with god. But yesterday She asked to join me in this fast and bible study. The amount of emotions I’m feeling since is overwhelming I’m so excited to introduce her to god and hope this is a beautiful new beginning for her and myself.

I fasted for 4 days water and tea . And when I tell you the revelation and clarity that God and only God can give is unmatched. Thank you for the gift of fasting Jesus ❤️

I don't know if anybody is gonna read this, but my name is Lisbeth. I've been struggling with anxiety since I was 14, I'm 22 now. For the last two years, insomnia has been my worst enemy, and I really need deliverance from it. So, if you could pray for me I'd appreciate it, I'd really like to be anxiety free for the rest of my life.

Our church does 21 day fasting and it’s AMAZING! The full 21 days is no social media/tv/internet outside of work and church related content - the first 7 days is mostly to focus on the no social media, week 2 is give up something that you use daily so for example: caffeine, sweets, nicotine etc. the week 3 is 1 meal per day. When I tell you that God has changed my life through the fasting, I MEAN IT 😭 HE is incredible. I haven’t been the same since 🙌🏼 He has changed every aspect of my life. I owe it all to Him.

I did my first fast and it ended yesterday March 14th 2024 ! And I prayed to God to confirm and clarify for me the things he revealed and put on my heart. This morning March 15th after prayer , I got my notification for a new episode of GGB and here I found in the first 15 minutes of the episode my exact confirmation and answer to what I asked. I had the conviction to fast from the Lord all of a sudden at the end of my day before I was about to cook dinner for me and my boyfriend. I kept going back and forth with it and then I just said out loud “You know what, let your will be done, Lord” and I just felt the Holy Spirit smile 😊😊 I am also in a period of learning how to come out of being lukewarm in faith and I feel like just committing to this sudden call is a milestone in that!!!

The Lord is truly here. I'm currently on a 3 day fast. Today is my second day and I started feeling week and desiring to end it but I made a prayer for God to strengthen me so I can go through the fast period. Many of the things we are dealing with are in our subconscious mind. These are things we picked up as young children and have progressed into adulthood. Over the past 3 weeks I asked the Holy Spirit to bring to my mind everything and every person that I hurt and that I was hurt by. My prayers were answered immediately. For these past 3 weeks he brought to my mind things and people that I suppressed for years and had forgotten about. I had to face those things head on, confess them, and release them. I then released blessings, peace, forgiveness, and love to the LORD first, then myself, and lastly others. I literally felt a release of things I never confronted. Your subconscious mind is powerful and has a hand in your behavior. This is why the bible says to be transformed by the renewing of your MIND.

Prayer Request: my family is in shambles. My husband was on drugs and is not a man of God. He says he is. He recently went to rehab but only lasted five days. He is now in a border patrol prison for trying to cross the border and having ammunition in his truck. We have two small baby girls who ask about him everyday. I have trusted God each day and feel like the divorce is something he wanted but now I’m unsure. Can you please pray that God leads our marriage or ends it if it’s never going to be what God wants for me and my girls? Thank you! The first time I fasted for a day, it was definitely challenging. However, I noticed that fasting afterwards, it got easier! Same thing when adding multiple days. The first three day fast I did was really hard because the body just isn't used to that, but it got easier the more often I did it! Every time you start feeling pain or weakness, just know that it's proof that you're willfully sacrificing your body to deepen your relationship with God! Love your podcast, ladies!

Prayer request : Ive been really struggling with purpose for months now, for the longest time I thought I knew what I wanted to do and took steps towards that everyday. But now, as time has gone by and my relationship with Jesus is stronger and stronger, I found myself drifting further and further from what I thought was my life purpose. I don’t usually engage/comment on videos but I have to say this couldn’t be more timely. I went through a lot the past few years that caused me to unfortunately backslide. I broke up with someone 2 weeks ago who I thought was going to be my husband. I was so lost and broken that I couldn’t be alone. I was constantly on FaceTime with my mom or friends. I fasted and prayed for 3 days last week and God delivered me from more in those few days than I have ever been. Mind you, I had to fight for my life because I was mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually weak, but GOD. Never underestimate the power of the Word. I had to have my nose in my Bible the whole three days while working!! Praise Jesus y’all

Loved this episode. Fasting is probably the hardest spiritual discipline for me, as I struggle with food addiction/binge eating disorder and so restriction can trigger my BED and cause a binge IFFF I’m not doing it in the Lord’s strength. As a hospice/palliative care worker, I will caution about fasting from water. One of the ways our patients can choose to end their life is by doing a process called VSED, or Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking. 3 days is the longest you can go without water without causing irreversible damage to your organs. Not saying that short term fasts from all intake is necessarily physically harmful, but please use caution withholding water and don’t push it too hard. Just some info regarding fasting that may help you….it’s important to continue to drink water as your body needs to remain hydrated for your organs etc. And if you google “how to start a fast” and “how to end a fast” so that your body can handle it. Some people may have medical issues which Jesus understands (and they can believe Him for healing) so they can fast something that means something to them without completely not eating- and some people’s blood sugar levels require a little sugar so they may need to drink juice. Great discussion, I remember some years back our pastor called for a 40 day fast. We each took a day. I personally took a day I just drank water and listened to worship music all day, prayed,etc. The next day was awesome I felt like I was on cloud 9 in the spirit. That following evening after I got off work I went to a church where our pastor was speaking. When I got to the parking lot after I parked my car, got out. I literally started running to get in side the church and It was awesome. That service was awesome also. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He’ll direct your path. proverbs 3:6 This includes fasting. And may the Lord bless you and keep you as well…..

I'm fasting today and DANG... it's exactly what I needed to do. My mind already feels so renewed, my will is starting to be more aligned to God's, and I can just feel myself naturally operating more in the Spirit, with more compassion, peace, and love. Emptying myself completely and depriving myself brings the Holy Spirit to LIFE. 🙏 I ask for prayers that my family will be completely overcome and saved by the love of Jesus and delivered from all powers of darkness. I want to see them raised to new life in Jesus. I also ask for prayers that my faith would be more deeply rooted in Jesus alone. I've found that I've stopped fasting and praying in the Spirit like I used to a few months ago, and I've conformed in the last season to the people around me and the way they practice their faiths. I've compromised and made excuses. I've definitely been having a hard time hearing from God in this past season and truly walking in the Spirit. It's been a dry season. The Lord is really convicting my heart of this and I need prayer that I am able to maintain my spiritual disciplines and live out my convictions so I can abide in Jesus and walk in the light! Fasting doesn't have to hurt. The idea about fasting is giving up something you enjoy. I have an Orthodox Christian background and fasting is basically just giving up meat and dairy usually for prolonged periods. I've also done juice fasts where you eat only fruits and vegetables for three days then switch off to just drinking fresh vegetable and fruit juice for the next six days and end the fast off with eating only fruits and vegetables for a couple more days before returning to your normal diet. This type of fast is very beneficial for cleansing the body. It also highly sensitizes your system. Fasting is used to honor Christs sacrifice for us but the most important thing is not what goes into our mouths but what comes out. Thanks for your prospectives on this subject. I could never express how much gratitude I have for you girls. Y'all changed my entire life, I found u 6 months ago when I was in the middle of my first ever heartbreak. Such a great testimony Angela. I had a similar experience on day 6 of my 7 day fast. Holy Spirit turned up when I was in the market place and I was hit with so much love and Joy I was completely overwhelmed. My senses all became alive and I could feel others in the moment and began to cry as I understood this is how Jesus walked his life during ministry. It was so powerful I had to release all my tear and cried for 20min without stopping. When I processed it Jesus was saying to me I know what you wanted but what I am giving you right now is more important than that, and all my grief from my earthly fathers death was taken away in that moment. God is great!! I completed a 72 hour fast, I learned so much from it that I feel god has left a deposit in my being.. something I can never not acknowledge every day since then.. it’s an amazing feeling..

Only in God's timing, this was exactly what I needed to hear as it's where the next step of my spiritual growth lies. I felt called to do an intermittent fast this last week, before even listening to this episode! I am breastfeeding so will wait to start doing a full days plus fast but am already experiencing the benefits of a short fast. I have been feeling so distant from God, honestly for the past few years. I grew up in the church, but family tragedy and feeling lost in life has caused my faith to waver. I am in a season where I don't feel as connected to God because my flesh has me overwhelmed by my current trials and tribulations. It feels as though this storm is never ending and I am drained. However, my church has started the Daniel fast for Holy Week and I am participating. I am trusting that this fast will be the key to help me be delivered of my anxiety and uncertainty and allow me to fully surrender to what God has in store for me. ✝

Today is my first time fasting!! The last 2 days I've felt a nudge from the Spirit to fast... so before I gave Him my word, I ran to this channel to see some encouragement (as I was nervous) and about halfway in I said to God "Okay I'm in!" Thank you for talking about this!!

This was the first full episode of your podcast that I’ve watched while I was driving home last night. My fiancé and I are new to the Christian faith and are learning all the things. Lately, we’ve been getting these little “winks” ,as we like to call them, from God. Just little things that show up that we heard the day before or read that day. I got into my car after listening to your spider story, and I NEVER have spiders in my car, and sure enough!!!! There was a spider crawling on my windshield😂😂A very weird “wink” from God but I truly believe I was meant to listen to you girls! You’re amazing and thank you for sharing❤️

Girls thank you for this podcast. I almost passed by it thinking (oh that’s where we go wrong) that I already knew enough about it. But God had other plans and I obeyed (His thoughts are higher than our, praise you Jesus). I am 55 and am learning so much from you girls. Thank you Jesus for anointing these girls with your truth. I did a two day fast and have you and Jesus of course to thank. What a hard but beautiful fast it was. I feel renewed, unburdened, clear, loved, forgiven and grateful! I would also HIGHLY recommend social media fasts, I would say social media is the BIGGEST distractions between us and God in these modern times, use the time you would usually spend on socials praying, worshipping, reading the word, being a good steward of the earth, be more helpful/ giving, just sitting in silence with Him etc! Food fasts are amazing but I say also make your fast personal to you and ask God 'what do I put before You that I need to give up' and fast that thing (could be food/swearing/social media/ listening to secular music/ your favourite drink/ watching tv etc the list is endless and personal, it could be anything!) , whatever you decide to do, fasting is incredible! You've got this sisters and brothers xx

Prayer Request~ I am a teenage girl, and I have scoliosis. I have been wearing a brace for 18 hours a day since January. Not only the brace, but my scoliosis in general (I also have severe swayback) causes me a lot of pain... and the brace impacts my quality of life a lot. I'm supposed to have it for a year, but even after, I will be in pain for the rest of my life if God doesn't heal me. I have seen the miraculous, and I know God is more than able to heal me of my condition. What I am struggling with is becoming at peace with the fact that God may not heal me, and His will is perfect and it is all for His glory. I want to truly be able to say that whether God heals me or not, I have peace about it and trust Him with everything in me. I appreciate any prayers or words of encouragement/advice, and I am praying for this amazing community too.
